Hulks are worth 200mil a hull though, so if you cant fly t2/t3 ships it makes sense. Many people started eve mining, although it's absolute shit I can understand taking a hulk, as most wh corps only have a pile of drakes. There are only so many sites a week in a wh, most of the time is spent mining unless you have good access to sideways wormholes that are uninhabited (unlikely, also opening these wormholes could be dangerous, because if you do not open the wormhole by warping to it you do not spawn it on the other side, spawning it on the other side means you might have people stealing your sites/killing your shit). This makes mining very important in wh, and hulks are worth alot of isk. Sure some corps will be running c5/c6's and have a few tengus sitting in the hangar at any time but for the average thief hulks are a good target. I'm kind of sad I didnt train for a tengu earlier because I could have taken two or so myself, I had gone for the legion and solo'd c3 sites instead. In a tengu now though. You would be surprised though how minor of a role combat sites play in wh. It is where the big bucks are, but if you have a dedicated group combat sites dont last long and you are then left with mining.

just as i get point on the guy the ceo clears corp usage rights on the pos sending everyone inside of it flying in random directions making me lose point.

I'm presuming he merely got bumped / moved out of point range, instead of losing lock.

ANZAC dediced to camp s1 in odde with drake cane cane harb domi raven pest flycatcher falcon. I opened up just nanoing around them and almost killing the flycatcher. Ueber joined me in a rifter halfway through to even the odds up. They eventually decided to gtfo and warped to the isto gate where they saw a neutral maelstrom and went a bit crazy. In true DR/ANZAC/SUITS style the falcon decloaked himself in an isolated position and I put the rifter on him instantly and alphaed his shields. He immediately jammed me but the rifter held a hero point and the falcon missed his fourth cycle allowing me to point him and wipe him out. That caused the flycatcher to try and get a hero scram on me. He starts burning and I match his speed and overheat my launchers and suddenly he notices he's still 20k off and in armour. He tries to gtfo out but I overheat my point and spin around, finishing him off. They've suddenly realised shit hasn't gone to plan and two neutral myrmidons showed up on the gate so they begin to run (at this point still with 3 bs and 4 bc against 3 bc) and I throw a point down on a cane and finish it off.

Total kills, 275m against a fleet worth 15 times ours.
Total losses, 400k (rifter, which was insured for 250k)

Confession. I don't know the difference between shift f2 (overheat mwd) and f2 (turn off mwd). This is a problem and could prove expensive in the long term.

I have to admit I've never used the PI button by mistake. Then again I rarely pick an actual planet to warp to. And the fact that I never trained the PI range skill might also help.
