My last corp experience: -1st day join corp -2nd day corp taxes get raised with no explanation as to what the corp will do with the extra isk -3rd day I get scolded for asking where the extra tax money will go -4th day I get yelled at again for complaining that nobody is ever available (even though the mentors are in-game all the damn time) to teach me pvp Either that corp was a scam which I doubt (I don't think scamming day 1 noobs is the fastest way to get money...) or nobody in eve gives a shit anymore. So yeah, I'm pretty burnt out on the game.

Sorry that it sucked, but its pretty stupid to say no one cares in eve. (you obviously see *this* thread and how we mentor people)

Eve requires very little hand holding if you do a few hour of self-research on the web. =_= Edit: Point of post: It seems you have fallen under the general assumption that Eve is hard to start out with. Eve is only harder than every other "hand-fed from the start" generic mmo.

I still think that the majority of eve players are less than excited about new people signing up. On one of my accounts, I was ganked (.4 sec i think...idk i was a noob) and then informed that since eve is becoming overpopulated by scrubs, the pirates had taken it upon themselves to beat up on noobs in order to make the eve server population more to their liking. I think I had been playing the game for about 3 days at that point, and it was my first trial. So within about 10 hours of playing the game I was directly told by the game's community that I had no right playing their sacred game. This pretty much set the standard of all my future eve pvp interactions so you can see why I'm less than enthused about being a part of the eve community. Pretty typical of the gaming community from my experience. lol...ever been to shoryuken? (fighting game version of tl) On that note I do think tl is a better community site than most, so I wouldn't be surprised if tl's corp has better standards than the rest. I guess I never made it far in eve because I had amazingly terrible luck with pvp, and at least when I played, the pve didn't seem too interesting.

I told Kwark that the PLEXes he was holding were probably going to crash in value cause of the SP refund. The theory was that people could fly new shiny ships, would buy the ships, and suddenly wouldn't have enough isk for PLEXes. Kwark immediately agreed to let me sell them off. Nice, I have to say I miss jita-whoring (probably still have around ~15 billion isk of stuff mothballed on my trade alt, though probably slightly devalued due to overall t2 pricetrends).

Well pve is boring but also easy as long as you can fit the generic drake setup. They actually removed learning skills, so you can feasibly do "limited" solo pvp with only a week or so of training time. IMO get a trial and try the Hatchery. I bet they won't mind giving you free isk if it'll mean they'll get another dedicated tackler to banzai on an enemy.

I do not see one single point in your original post that would convey you would want to try it again, just blatant bashing. And, we are eve players, do you think calling all eve players trash is a good way to come across in an eve thread? Sorry that you had such shitty experiences in the past, but the op as some pretty easy steps to get into the hatchery and get a mentor: ( ゚∀゚)

I don't think eve as a game is trash. I was just stating that every single person I've come in contact with in that game has acted like a 2 year old. That may sound harsh but realize it's not a judgement on you, or anyone else in this thread. I should've made that clearer.

Eve is a hard game to step into, and if youve got noone to play with in an mmo it just isnt fun. Unless youre one of those freaks that just runs solo pve shit all day by himself and never talks to anyone lol. Just Download eve join SCBW and get a 21 day trial and a mentor (Im playing a lot now a days and definitely available) =D.

Join SCBW ingame and ask there. And make sure you get a 21day trial by a hatchery member, because otherwise you cant hope on getting trainingmoney from us. God damn motbob, that is really freaking sexy ... You ever think about getting into stock market trading? Lost my Drake and michael lost a rifter to gateguns when trying to go back to emol :D Er, iirc we didn't even get the legion down below 75% shields =T Well, if by "almost got a legion kill" you meant "we could've had him permajammed and triple-webbed/scrammed and slowly chipped him down if the gallente BS didn't show up" then yea, I suppose we almost had a legion kill, since he was fitted passive tank =P But yeah, that was just a bad idea ... I mean, he saw our fleet on the emol-side eifer gate multiple times, so he knew exactly what he was going against (drake, rupture, rifter, scimmy, bb). The fact that he was still willing to engage and didn't run away once we did probably should've raised some red flags ... heh. That and none of us were on comms, and none of us were checking d-scan or local for friends coming in ... pretty bad of us =T I definitely blame myself for not checking local, should've been keeping an eagle eye on that, especially since the fight seemed so bait'ish.
