I just resubbed after not playing since the hatchery lived in emol. I've been playing with some friends from school who live in gallente space and my maelstrom fit that wrecked angel level 4s back in the day just seems to suck against serpentis rats. Not sure if its because the mael is just generally better against angels of if something got nerfed while I was playing but I've tried 800s, 1200s, and 1400s but the missions just go really slow and I have to warp out occasionally, which never happened against angels.

The fit is basically the same for arty. As far as I can tell its in line with what the internet recommends these days. I'm not sure if I'm just using the wrong ship against serpentis, or my fit sucks, or maybe I am just bad. In any case I would appreciate help figuring it out.

So I just got back from Vegas and figured I should probably post about some of the stuff that happened there. Theres 3 new doomsdays. First is the sickle one that I expect most people have already seen. The second is a focused straight line and the third hits the target ship, caps it out and deal damage around the target equal to how much cap the target lost, so basically an aoe remote smartbomb based on targets cap.

Fighter control is basically turning into world of warships carrier gameplay, detatchable camera seems amazing and the ewar resistance afaik does nothing against ecm since its the only ewar effect that's binary.

As far as pve stuff happening the drifters are getting nerfed so they don't have as powerful of a doomsday, there are going to be roaming drifter fleets, drifters will come to the aid of sleeper rats and there will be a drifter capital. In addition to that npc convoys are going to be a big deal as they may eventually be used to move your stuff around. Also the blood raider sites are a huge hit and there are plans to do something similar for Christmas but nothing really definite since 'sansha claus' is apparently cheesy and doesn't really fit into the eve theme as much as they want it to. Eve is going to have daily quest bonus type stuff too so that's going to be a thing.

I was talking with CCP Snowedin who works on eves api and with the brain in a box and new servers and everything it sounds like hes going to eventually be able to smooth out a lot of lag issues and such with the ultimate goal of also removing downtime. Most of the technical stuff went somewhat over my head but it was all very exciting.

There is also a new minigame coming out that will give you SOE lp and is also being used as crowdsourcing for real actual science stuff which is pretty neat.

Im currently eating fancy Icelandic chocolate that Sugar Kyle got me and it is amazing. Anyway that is a short recap of some of the stuff at Vegas. Im tired now so tomorrow I can update stuff that I forgot or tell you about some of the random entertaining parts of my trip or whatever.
