Realistically speaking, the difference in effectiveness of the TD is insignificant, but upgrading to meta 4 is required to make it fit (with a 3% cpu implant). It costs a couple million extra isk, which is not something I'm overly concerned with, but when I plan on buying and losing 100 of these, that could add up to 250m isk I'd be throwing away..... Anyone have any insights or thoughts on this? | ||

Theoretically those should beat me..... Not all are decent fits of course, because bads be bad, but some are legit, like those 2 executioners. I've found that a lot of it comes down to actual piloting with this fit, which is why I love it. Just because things "can" kill me doesn't mean they will..... I've also gone after stuff that I really have no business fighting with an atron, one memorable fight was a sabre + cruor camp that I fought for about 10 minutes straight, I was faster than the cruor even while webbed by it, and faster than the sabre while I wasn't webbed, however, while webbed I was slower than the sabre, so I had to try to isolate one of them from the other in order to get the kill. Yea, one mistake and I would have been dead, but I can't think of any other T1 frigate that looks as engageable as an atron that would be able to pull off that kind of fight. http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?eid=37566428 That was a good one too, it was a 4 man AF gang that came into a plex to kill me. I kept one pointed at all times, swapping point as needed. Eventually we were like 300k from the beacon, and they tried warping off. I stopped heating until I was in 1/4 structure, then heated again. It ended poorly for him. Yet again, another ship that should have beaten me without any question..... | ||

Eight months into the future, the Drake will be nerfed as part of the chain of events cascading from this example of power creep. /edit - Two years into the future, CCP will change the flavor names to less verbose terms to reduce linguistic complexity. | ||
