I robbed Aquila almost a month ago.

I find it quite humorous that you lot waited for almost a month, watching vigilantly for me to leave. Basically I haven't been playing eve, and as such had left those accounts sitting in that c5 because a) there weren't any convenient exits for a freighter to take and b) I figured I could waste a bit of your time, that you would leave alts in there and have my characters that you knew of watchlisted, hoping to catch me on the way out with my loot. I didn't plan to come back to the game anytime soon and little did you know that I had actually already left with all of the loot, save for one empty freighter. I figured that when I eventually came back to the game, your lads would have packed up your stuff and left, and I would login and spend 10 minutes probing to essentially earn the obelisk.

So, a few days ago, I felt the itch again, and decided I wanted to come back and play a bit of eve. I log my probing vessel (which happens to be a stiletto...best probing ship!) in and take a quick look for random k162s (no luck) before scanning out the static (its a c5-->c5.) Basically immediately after I logged in I noticed a buzzard and some combats, but I wrote them off as being denizens of the hole I was in for a number of reasons (the hole I was in had reasonable ratting activity and I figured that, after a month had passed, surely no one from Verge would be salty enough to login basically instantaneously after I had and start looking for me over the paltry sum that I had stolen from them (additionally, I had logged in at what was basically the quietest hour of the day for Verge.) The static connection was to another c5-->c5 so instead of probing deeper into the chain, I decided to just log back off, taking note of when the people who I thought were some small random wormhole corporation were active.

A couple of days pass and I decide to try again, logging in at a completely different hour of the day. Immediately the same buzzard is there with some combats out. This is when I could have come to the conclusion that the aquila guys were both extraordinarily patient and extraordinarily pathetic, that the buzzard that I had seen a few days prior was actually them, but, giving them entirely too much credit, I figured the buzzard pilot probably just kept odd hours and decided I would try again a few days later.

Today is that few days later. I login and the buzzard greets me once again. At this point it is clear that the buzzard is reacting to me, and that it is in all likelihood the alt of someone from Aquila. I could attempt to wait them out and sneak the freighter out at a later date, but I gain essentially nothing by doing this - it is an empty obelisk, pennies as far as I am concerned, and I want to use the freighter pilot for other purposes. Which leaves me with basically two options. Option one is to simply self destruct the freighter, denying anyone any potential satisfaction. Option two is to make a mad dash for the current static, a c5 hole with a c1 static of its own. Having a c1 static means that I am essentially always a few jumps away from empire space. If I can get the freighter into this hole, I open up a bunch of positive options for myself. There is still the chance, however small it may be, that the buzzard and co. are not actually Aquila, but some other random guys who were aware of the fact that I had a freighter logged off in their hole, and who were patient enough to wait all of this time for me. If this was indeed the case (that the buzzard is not a verge alt) then perhaps they wouldn't follow me into the next c5, as they wouldn't have the alts and/or motivation to dedicate characters to a location that would soon be separated from their home. Nobody wants to live in a c5 with a c1 static, the hole was empty. If I wasn't being pursued, I could easily just wait for the next empire exit and leave through that at my leisure without having to worry much about being harassed.

If I was indeed being pursued by Aquila, I was basically going to have to either wait them out (which I didn't want to do) or roll the dice. Getting my freighter logged off safely in the c5 with a c1 static would allow me to eventually prepare and bring in a multiboxed escort fleet or some friends and just fight my way out. I decided to roll the dice. I knew the odds. I had a slim chance of the freighter making it if their prober wasn't alert and/or was incompetent, and I took it, knowing that I was quite likely going to get caught, but potentially netting myself a freighter. The smarmy attitude that covers your post is likewise hilarious. You and the vast majority of your corporation were pretty rude to me and the other members who had joined you from Team Liquid. I didn't like this, and so I struck at you and I left. I made a few billion isk and a point, and a bunch of you sat around circlejerking and wasting a month of time. How do you feel that you have come out ahead in this encounter?
