Kwark is going to be gone for a couple of days and I was informed a friend of mine might have passed away so there is a good chance me and Kwark will not be around for the next 2-3 days since there is a good chance I might have to go to out of the country over this, I will still log in during work hours to take care of any management but since I will be at the office or at a friends house and that's not our user peak The Hatchery is going to rest on Dexxus, Penguins and Jayme's shoulders for a couple of days. Don't worry I will make sure they don't burn it to the ground XD On the bright side I got some nice stuff on the works for the corp, so hang in there. r.Evo if you could make one final appearance that will be very appreciated. Put TL in the placeholder and help me out with some stuff I need that we can discuss in-game. | ||

As it stands right now it is rather obvious that Liquid Inc. won't continue. Since I'm pretty sure people will ask for a why and how the hell it happened, I'm going to summarize the reasons that lead to this point in my opinion. I'm pretty sure it's going to help other people who are leading a corp atm. First of all, corps who rely on dicktatorship (as every working corp I know) tend to failsauce when the boss isn't around. That is probably the main factor in the current events, however, the only real solution I see to it is that there are multiple people around who take responsibility and do so on a common basis. That was how SCBW worked while it was in it's primetime (and hell, we definitly kicked some ass!) and that's how the hatchery is working right now. gj there. Corporations need multiple FCs (can't have enough!) and very few people who make actual decisions. Also, and I totally blame myself there a little, it is not good at all if very few people take on a lot of tasks - even if it's fun and they have the time - because the people around you get used to it and therefore you put them into a position where taking less responsibility is normal. In retroperspective that single thing was probably my biggest fault over the last year or so. It still was fun nevertheless. =P The second point which I can't stress enough is recruitment. You need an influx of new people who - this will be important to the hatchery as well - up to the same goals as the leadership is. Since we had certain goals where we had to postpone taking new people from TL farther and farther away a corp like the hatchery, a place for new people to start out, was needed pretty bad. However, part of the Liquid Inc. demise is, that all the new TL dudes hung out in completely different places and we therefore lost an important part of our recruitment. All in all that stuff kinda backfired. ;D Third comes the evil, evil thing: Logistics. Throughout the 16 months we had fun with Liquid Inc. (and the time before that with TCSI) basicly EVERY SINGLE TIME we moved corp around we lost 3-4 dudes at least. To be able to properly move locations you definitly need lots of active people who are capital/freighter/JF capable and pull it off within 1-2 days. Corps like Storm did a great job every time I saw them moving. What now? I've got no idea. Some cool place where it doesn't matter if you dont log for a few days would be pretty awesome. My personal problem at the moment is that, even though I believe the hatchery is great fun, I doubt it will do stuff which is the REAL fun for me in eve aka properly organized high-tech gangs like ever. If anyone has suggestions on how to realize such a project among TLnetizens, feel free to shout around ideas and brainstorm a little bit. The things which made eve fun for me haven't changed at all. To put em here they are: -Cool, clever guys to roll with. (TL <3) -Flying ships and in fleetconcepts which can fight outnumbered and outgunned. Sniper HACs / Nano HACs / Darkside Style Drakefleets. Oh hell yeah. -No fucking CTAs, POS- or Sovwars. I know that there are quite some people around who are still looking for the same stuff. If any of those finds a corp/alliance that has does that kind of stuff on a daily basis, leave a shout somewhere. I migh actually post on the recruitment forums with the above info, would look cool if we had some more people tagging along there. Also if any of the old guard feels up for taking responsibility for a similar project as we did... shout fast enough and I'll be around. =) Since something like this requires a proper "goodbye" here's a list of people who definitly should be called out by names, ty for all the great fun and making the first big Team Liquid project on EvE online possible. I'm going to use ingame only, also don't be mad if I forgot you. I'm old, ya know? =P ... I'm also going to name some non-TLers people should remember since they were a great help from time to time. I could brag about our accomplishments which were rather insane for a bunch of newbs in eve, but no need to. We know that TL wins the interwebs. -Lord Dexxus aka Dexxus Despite flaming you a lot and not agreeing at all with you on quite a lot, you were the guy who took the first batch of TLers, including me, under his wings. Thanks for getting us into that sexy game and for staying with me all the time. Also thanks for your famous newb teaching thingies. =D -Sonotassadar aka VorcePA (?) I think most of you people forgot him, but he was the first dude who kept telling us how damn hostile this game is. Even though we never had to use his famous wolfpackfrigates he was one of the driving force of installing "in eve everyone wants to kill you all the time" into our heads. Also it was fun finding out how fast we as a group have outgrown his approach to eve PvP. -Viljushkar aka WiljushkA Joined with the first wave from TL just as I did and is the most sexy serbian caldari pilot I know. Thanks for sticking around, being a great director and having the most awesome fitting- and EFT-skills. Also thanks for keeping Kwark and Dexxus at bay when they got annoying. <3 Supercrab aka hell I forgot again CRABADDON. You were so damn sexy when you actually played eve. One of the few direcs who stepped up for FCing from time to time, even though he hated it. Smoke less weed and come back to eve!  Bormac Gatom aka Bormac "Boarmac" always added sweet irish flavour to our fleets. I just have to name him because he helped me remembering some names while writing this post. Oldschoool! <3 -Yulwei aka bN' If you think you can troll, talk to him. Sexy director who was and still is able to do the most hilarious recruitment convos. Period. Also awesome solo pvper. -Senator Leto aka Rosaparksstolmyseat aka I can never fucking remember your TL name. Great director who had the ability to influence without talking much. Most people probably never noticed that you did stuff, but I totally have to give you credit for great ideas and suggestions all along the way. -Sergeant RL3 aka hugitout Probably the guy who left and joined corp more often than anyone else. <3 ... One of the few people who complained a lot in a way which always helped us out as a corp. Sexy scout & sexy solo pvper. His hate for blobs was worse than anyone elses so you didn't see him much on the killboard. -Apturan Reech aka motbob The guy who showed us how to rapecage eve in terms of isk making. -Gordon Alexander aka s_side Very active direc who was around all the time. Got involved into eve-politicks, maybe a little too much. ;S -Kizu Pahndah aka pahndah Famous for his terrible microphone while scouting, also famous for fitting salvagers on every fucking boat that is out there. Miss you. <3 Now onto some people who were not from TL but were awesome in our history nevertheless: The crazy english guys Thomas Othello and Brydane. Probably our most loyal non-TL members. <3 Wrathful Penguins & Amish Pilot. Cool dudes who I had a lot of fun flying with. Penguins is now part of the hatchery, so watch out for his awesome FCing. Also you still owe me an exequeror roam. The dudes from KWFL, MOEL, RAYMA and NASC. Our first blues with who we wtfpwnd lowsec. The dudes from ONION, mostly Mukkbarovian and Mya ElleTerego. The guys who I learned a shitload from in terms of FCing and who gave us a great time in the Gentlemens Club. Was fun before we took the bears along. And last but not least: KwarK and Arkhangel for keeping the hatchery up. Also Kwark, it would probably make sense to put this whole post in spoilers into the OP. I have to bury my baby somewhere. :/ PS: I'm gone for the weekend soon, feel free to post suggestions to the above ideas. If no one wants to start a place for "big" pvp for TLnetizens it would be damn sad, but, hey, what can you do. In that case feel free to shoot around suggestions for future corps some of us can join together. Apart from that I'll prolly tag along with the Hatch. FCing class is set for monday 22:00 evetime. and i'll always remember sono <3<3<3 he taught us the proper mindset for eve, and thats the most important thing when starting out. also <3 dex for not quitting 'cause of all the trolling :p rev go join pl, so you can get disappointed and tell us all about how bad it is, so that we can stop dreaming about it. and awesome that you found our old killboard! shame for liquid's fate though, i dont think any bunch of eve newbs ever managed to kill close as much stuff as us in such a short while | ||

I've played mmo for 5 years and this last year playing eve has been by FAR FAR FAR the best. As many other I got luredinto it with the metagaming thread(I would later come to treat all people from goonswarm as lepers : P). Eve is truly a game of possibilities and while SCBW never was some bigass corp but we did our share of dmg. shoutouts to: vil(for turning me into a fitting nazi), revo(best fc I know-yes better than mukk), KALDENINES(whatever your name is on tl - getting 290kills while doing a masters in biochemistry is amazing) and ofc dexxus(yeah I know I ripped on you for losing one vaga in hi sec and another to a DD, but I was never gonna turn around and desert you). I've still got about 3 months of playtime from plexes and I'll be glad to join the hatchery if you guys will have me, who knows maybe revo can even teach me to fc : > | ||
