I think there is fuck all accountability in the system and that the GMs are really bad at their jobs and have a track record of being petty and vindictive. I was the victim of a closed trial and were it not for some inventive detective work by Michael who scoured my api to find the name of the guy who I was alleged to have hacked I would have had no real defence. It is incredibly fortunate that the incident in question was thoroughly documented by me in forum and in petition so all the evidence that showed that I was completely innocent was there, otherwise I may have just been fucked over indefinitely. However the degree of incompetence required for a GM to mistake the response of another GM to one of my petitions for me hacking and then ban me for it without even looking into what happened is staggering. Hi there. It is my sad duty to inform you that you accounts have been permanently banned from our server for involvement in accessing another player's account and stealing ingame items. The case is clear enough to warrant a permanent ban. In this case the only thing connecting me to my "victim" was a single player donation. There was no IP evidence or any evidence that I had tried to steal his password or anything because I was, as Nova has since admitted, entirely innocent of any wrongdoing. The donation was part of a petitioned solution to me being scammed on the character bazaar and GM Markab confirmed it and finished the process with a GM player donation. I feel I'm just repeating myself here but I can't really believe that he would flat out permaban me and say that it is a completely closed case when the transaction was done by one of his staff members, there was no real evidence against me and there was literally a minefield of evidence in my defence in my petitions (which he can see). It required a unique combination of gross incompetence, wilful ignorance, arrogant certainty and absolute power, something I am happy to criticise but am reluctant to challenge for obvious reasons. I have no faith in the ability of CCP to see reason in this regard because nothing I have seen of them in any way suggests to me that they are capable of being reasonable. | ||
