I need to obs some stuff to learn the ropes. Could someone also explain to me what exactly am I seeing? This large bubbles with electrical discharges in them are interdiction spheres or what?

A brief summary of what exactly happened in this video would be really helpful.

In this one dude is giving orders and they're supposedly flying frigs (guy in vid is in Firetail).
And I don't want to learn tactics or anything from them, I want to learn to look at this things and make sense of it (so far it's: dots fly around, shit dies).

Are there any EVE PvP VODs with commentary?

in this i believe most of them were flying BCs
the whole video was pretty useless as far as figuring out what was going on in the fight. the highlight of the video was the dude using the tracking disruptor on the scimis.

They 100% started that. We ran into them and Legionnaire, an FA diplo who was in our fleet, informed them that the rifter was with us. We ended up sitting on gate with their entire gang, all but one of us blue to them, clearly a single fleet together, and I started asking about potentially attacking TMA (who had a fleet in the neighbouring system and were red to both of them) in local chat.
I want to make it clear that we were all sitting at 0 next to them on the gate in our nano ships, we'd told them he was friendly, we were chatting with them and we were clearly together. After about 30 seconds of sitting together one of their cynabals unilaterally opens up on the spawning pool rifter. It clearly wasn't a fleet order, it was just one cynabal, it wasn't a response to a sudden situation, we'd been sitting together for a while, it wasn't confusion, they'd been informed and our entire blue fleet which was clearly affiliated with the rifter was all sitting right next to them. But the guy, who is apparently part of some arrogant goon nobility corp, decided that we wouldn't do anything if he pushed his luck.

He opened up on our rifter. We nuked the fucker.

Now I want to make it clear that we didn't immediately respond by attacking the entire blue fleet, although we shot the blue cynabal it was only while it was shooting our fleet mate, our efforts were purely as peacekeepers to end the violence which he had started. However unfortunately the pernicious vagabond and sleipnir leapt to the defence of the bullying cynabal and attacked my noble oracle.

We nuked the fuckers.

Their entire fleet, considerably larger than ours, definitely better equipped, was a hard counter to our nano setup. We had two drakes, a nado, an oracle, a curse and one rifter (the other rifter was dead and the FA guys were not involved), our links were scouting the red fleet in the next system and were on zero with them and did not even have them locked. Not a good situation to be in. They had two drakes, two vagabonds, two cynabals, a sleipnir, a kessy and a falcon. So we were pretty much fucked from the outset when they attacked us.

Afterwards it was explained by our FA diplomatic friends that those guys were pretty up themselves about how they were srs bznz pvpers and would be "srs SPIPLOMATIC incident" over this. I found that kind of funny because if they'd killed all of us I'm pretty sure they would have trashtalked us in local and there would have been no incident. They're not mad over the fight, they're mad over what we did to their virgin worldview.

Naturally I offered to apologise for the incident and said the full wealth of The Hatchery corp wallet would be available to them in reparations. Unfortunately we have no tech and someone robbed our corp wallet so that amounted to about five million isk. Before we could explain ourselves we got kicked from the noble Fatal and their honourable Ascension.

Btw @ Manit0u: other than bouncing around with the Hatch and learning the old fashioned way, watching my stream isn't a bad idea. If you have a basic grasp of the game you can quickly learn how I dscan, scout, assess opponents, approach roaming, FC, so on. I stream small gang and solo PvP in lowsec and nullsec, occasionally with the Hatchery as well (when I get a bug up my ass to have Kwarkenführer FC-rage down my earhole). The highlights section show commentaries on fights, as well as clipped out fights if you just want to check those out. Best bet would be to watch me as I go and ask questions; I wouldn't mind flying without a delay to answer you live.
