just an update
"Monday Oct 6: The remainder of last week's referrals was sent this morning. We plan on putting up more in a few days." I'll let you guys know when the new invites come.
Also the game really does play at 125 fps in your browser, or full screen in any resolution you want. It's really cool. The biggest downside is the current lack of pro mods.
And the game installs to your application data folder, it's about 200mb of stuff. I have a smallish C partition so it was annoying, but a lot of games like to dump things in there.

So sick... That's such awesome speeds. Quake Live was made to be the ultimate competitive FPS ever.

this looks soooo good. i wonder what is left to beta test, those tourny vids from quakecon made the game seem really polished already. oh and if anyone has a random beta invite to give, well you are probably saving it for someone else but ya never know.

I just invited Zelniq and Grobo but it will take a few days for id to send them out because they do them in batches. When they get in they can start sending invites as well hopefully
I'm going in order of pms I got hopefully I get more invites either later this week or next week. ImRadu and Joxxor are the next 2 in my list

Rapha just won ESWC athens :O. Shame the maps are really stale nowdays, that's one of the only things i'm looking forward to in QL, new maps. Played quake for so long now, same five maps gets boring (apart from hub3aeroq3 <3333)

its cool but the movement sucks. you cant jump while strafing or something like that its really awkward

I was under the impression that this would just be a rerelease of quake3 in a browser, but it sounds like its graphics are pretty good. What kind of system requirements are needed to play this? Because my pc can run Starcraft and tetris, thats about it.
Also is there an estimated date to play without a beta key? I haven't really followed the news on this much.
