I've just registered, am still in the waiting queue... and I'll probably play my first game on Sunday against another old Q3 freak (who was in EK - one of the best RA3 clans back in the day). Gonna be fun, especially since we both didn't play for 4-5 years. Actually, I'm looking forward to QL more than SC2... It's strange, at first I was really pumped for SC2 but now I don't really care about it much anymore. Btw, is it just me or does QL seem to be a little bit faster than Q3? Or maybe it's just me not being used to Q3 gameplay anymore. Would be cool If it was faster. | ||

r_picmip 16 (push enter and then>) vid_restart You'll have a very performance graphic. It may look cartoonish though but that's how all the quake players put their setting. Plz note that q3 has many many things which you can config. Most of them use it : cg_simpleitems 1 cg_forceenemymodel keel/sport (to have all your ennemies in green keel skin, although it didn't work for me so i put tankjr/sport) There are prolly many others things but i guess that's enough in order to start with a crappy computer Also for Nvidia users : If you have somewhat a lower refresh rate than usual type : r_displayrefresh 60+ (Default is 60 but beware, having them too high will fuck your graphic card up that's why they didn't put it officially on the forum). The best way is to have the same refresh rate that you're actually using with windows (I've put it at 85 Hz) | ||

its really fast, has awesome jogability and practical to join or leave gametypes and servers. Best first-person shooter game. too bad im such bad player w 400 ping  | ||

Aim for 120. I find it hard to believe that you even know how to strafe jump while giving horrible suggestions like this. | ||
