1. GO NINERS! Higher fucking Singletary already. 2. I think Sean Payton is a pretty good coach, and certianly a good offensive coach. I just think that they have shit for defense. Talent-wise, they're pretty thin across the board, and they've not really addressed it at all during his tenure. That's really his biggest knock. Offensively, they run a great system and have an awesome qb in brees—don't know how you figure he's overrated. You admit that he does a whole lot without a great group. This team would have half the wins they do now with anyone else. The other big knocks on Peyton are drafting bush that high (real RBs, not flex guys, go in the 1st round like that) and the Shockey trade. I read a story a few weeks ago about how bad they got screwed in that. He has something like 45 catches and no TD, and they gave up a second. That 2nd becomes a first with incentives or something? I just know that they don't have a 1st or 2nd for April this year. And I think Pierre Thomas is the real deal. That's what they need, because Bush obviously can't carry the load.

His initials are LT, just because Lawrence Taylor's were also LT doesn't mean no one else is allowed to have those initials. Besides, he's good enough to share common initials with the original LT. And his name is too long to spell out. On December 23 2008 04:04 Hawk wrote: Yeah, Carlson is nasty. I grabbed him in fantasy a few weeks back. I still don't understand how the Hawks imploded this season. They were riddled with injuries for the first half of the season. I mean, Charlie Frye started a few games for them this season, that's how banged up they've been. And I said, Brees is really good, but I think Brees gets TOO much credit. He doesn't have the best WR's ever, but he does have guys who are fast, and can catch. He's very accurate, and he has a very fast release, but I don't think he's a hall of famer, personally, and that's the way he gets talked about. There are three QB's playing right now that I think will go to the HOF: Favre, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady. Brees is a very, very good QB, but he isn't as good as those three, and what he hasn't shown yet is that he can really over come adversity. Yes, he can bring his team back on a game winning drive, but he can't get his shit together in bad weather, and he can't get his shit together on the road. That's why I think he's over rated. I don't think he's over rated in the sense that he's bad; I think he's over rated in the most literal sense of the phrase. And to those who love teams that suck this year, why do you want them to win right now? Personally (and I love the Broncos and the Bears as much as anyone here loves their team[s]), when they start off 1-8 or whatever, I want them to continue to suck and get a higher draft pick. If they aren't going to make the playoffs (and thus a run at the Super Bowl) they may as well not win a game.

Well tell u truth I already gave up on my girls for this season. There is a lack of leadership on the team which really makes teh team dull...Even more dull is wade phillips. I even stated back when the cowboys lost to the cardinals (when romo broke his pinkie finger) I stated that a revision of the coaching staff needs to be overlooked asap. Poor coaching....There is still a chance but like you stated before...No consistency...Talent is there but doesnt execute...

If they aren't going to make the playoffs (and thus a run at the Super Bowl) they may as well not win a game. Because getting a top 5 draft pick often isn't worth the salary you HAVE to pay for that player. The top 5 picks are paid like pro bowlers before they even get out onto the field! Even if my team is crappy, I would prefer that they aren't so crappy as to kill the salary cap with a player they cannot afford.
