Yeah, you really can't double team any of the guys on that team, because there are too many other ways to kill you. Even their number four is pretty good. The only way you can stop the passing game is to get to Warner, or play a quarter D all game, but playing a quarter D obviously wouldn't work, so you have to rely on getting to Warner. Boldin was pissed off because he got pulled from the game without reason, in his mind. But the coaching staff didn't think he was fast enough with his hamstring injury to play. He'll be 100% by the Super Bowl.

Straight disrespect for Rivers. Throws 30+ td, and still can't even get into the probowl as a fucking replacement. Collins goes in for Favre, who shoulda never been in there in the first place.

For the love of god. Hopefully the Steelers will learn. They were double-teaming fitzgerald for most of the game.

My prediction: Cardinals>Steelers, 24-20 If the Cards can keep the middle secure for Warner (i.e. keep up the middle pressure to a minimum), then I think Kurt and co. will be able to pick apart that zone scheme of the Steelers. The outside rush will be a factor, don't get me wrong, but it's a lot easier to handle an outside blitz (if you see it coming) for a pocket passing QB than it is to handle the up the middle stuff, especially when the QB is as immobile as Warner is. And I tend to think that the Cardinals will do a good job of limiting that kind of pressure, or beating some of those blitzes with quick routes, and runs/draws. I have no faith in Big Ben to perform in this game. If the Cardinals get up early in this game, kiss it goodbye, because I truly do not believe that Ben can bring them back. He makes too many mistakes when he throws a lot, and if the Cardinals are up, the running game will be useless, basically (depending on when, and how much they are up, obviously). So, to me (and it's probably a pretty obvious statement), the Steelers need to establish a solid running attack, and keep that Cardinals offense off the field. Yes, they have the best defense in the league to fall back on, but offenses as high powered as the Cardinals can make things happen even against the best, and you really don't want to risk big plays, or allowing the Cards to get into a solid offensive rhythm. In my mind, there are two things to consider when looking at the Cardinals rush defense during these playoffs: 1) they've played really well, but 2) no one has really tried to consistently run the ball on them. The Cardinals ran the ball 20 times with their HBs, compared to throwing the ball 40 times. That is not their game, and it's not a place you want a rookie QB. Carolina ran only 15 times, and Delhomme really screwed them over. Again, they got away from their game. Philly ran it 16 times with their HBs, 2 with McNabb. Running isn't their game anyway, but it still adds to it that teams have not really tried to establish a dominant running game, and most of that credit has to go to the outstanding early play of the offense, and the ball hawking defense. So, what Pitt has to do is establish the ground game, and not turn it over (fairly obvious, but no one has done it yet). The thing I'm looking at is that Willie Parker is not the kind of guy that is going to grind it out, and wear a defense down. Moore is a good HB, but he's not the caliber guy you want trying to tear a defense up for Fast Willie Parker to come in and cut through. I don't see Parker running all over this team, and I don't see Moore running all over them either. And because I don't think they will run all that effectively, I think the game is going to fall on Big Ben's shoulders, and I've already stated that I don't think he will perform very well, and history shows us that when he has to throw a lot, he doesn't perform very well. Throwing 25+ times they're only three to six games above .500. Throwing less than 25 times they hardly ever lose a game. Don't think for a second that the Cardinals are not aware of that statistic, and no matter how much praise anyone gives to him, I can almost guarantee that the defense would rather risk Roethlesberger trying to throw on them than allowing a running game to exist. Take Hines Ward largely out of the picture, and it's going to be problems for the Steelers offense. Everything I'm saying hinges on two very vital factors: limiting the Steelers pass rush, especially up the middle, and stopping the Steelers running game. And those are no easy tasks. I've seen a lot of people predicting blowouts in favor of the Steelers, and I really wouldn't be all that shocked if they did beat them handily, but I don't expect it to happen. I think it's going to be a really close, good game, regardless of the winner.
