ive got a new LG 42 in, so its got hdmi, 7 prong hole, etc etc. all the standard stuff. i got a 7 prong hookup on the laptop, and thats what i tried using. my tv recognizes it, but doesnt show my comp screen | ||

You can also use a dvi to hdmi cable if your laptop has a dvi output. or you can use a vga to dvi adapter to do the same thing (possibly..) | ||

ill try it again when im home later. but still, wouldnt there at least be like a black screen on my tv? it kept showing no singal, but when i hit input (the menu where you switch between wii/tv/dvd/etc) it shwoed that something was connected | ||

Your laptop may not have it, but my f8 button says "crt/lcd" on it haha so for my laptop it's definitely f8 and it would probably say no signal if there was no signal at all going to it, i think my tv does at least | ||
