Him missing is hardly the problem. Gramatica missing, on the other hand.... On October 07 2008 14:08 zer0das wrote: Anyone else watch the Vikings and Saints? Without Colston, NO is in deep shit. Their offense is NOT going to win games when their Defense isn't able to stop teams from pretty much rolling down the field. Brees may be one of the best QBs in the league at the moment, but with no marquee receiver he can't do it all. 3 losses, all down to the wire for Saints. They need Colston.

No, they need their defense to make stops. To give up over 29 points per game is absurd. You can't expect an offense to consistently put up more than that. The defense needs to stop the other team; and if they can't, they won't win, REGARDLESS of Coltson being there or not. The point is, the offense is NOT the problem.

really, this is more of a qb upgrade for me. i think there's gonna be minimal differeence between turner and peterson. Romo's hitting 40td this season and culter's hitting 30. sick sick sick

i still think peterson > turner in the long run, turner's schedule gets harder after this, and peterson ends with detroit, arizona, and atlanta at the end of the season. It's not a terrible trade though, you can afford to lose ocho cinco though cause he hasn't done jack all year interesting. i'll have to think about it

You could probably almost get Romo and Turner for Peterson alone. Bit of an exaggeration, but seriously. Turner has been good against bad defenses, but AP is still AP. He had a bad week, oh well. Look at their schedules, AP is going to burn the weak defenses he faces. It's not like you even need an upgrade at QB, you have Cutler and he faces plenty of weak opponents and he is going to score more points than Romo in all likelyhood.

Grant isn't good at all. He had one good season (last year), and it wasn't really all that great. The best second half of the season went to Earnest Graham. He probably won't come around, because, for whatever reason, that team is on a downward slope right now. Plus he's had a hamstring problem all year. Anyway, since he wants Cutler too, there's no way. He's just trying to rip you off. Even before then, you're kind of thin at HB, and Turner has in no way proven himself like AP has. Yeah, AP had a terrible game this week, but how many do you think he'll have? Turner has torched bad defenses this year, and done nothing against decent ones. Anyone can run for a lot of yards on Detroit (except Forte); I'm not impressed by that. Don't take me wrong, he's a solid #2 HB, but you'd have to be an absolute retard to trade him for AP. The other guys were just fluff, basically, in my opinion, so with that, you're basically getting a 2 for 1, and then it's considerable if you're deep at HB, which you aren't. Even if he takes Cutler out, you shouldn't make that trade. If you had like... AP, Forte, Slaton, and Brown instead of what you have, then I think I'd make that trade. Since you start 2 QB's, you'd get a HUGE upgrade at your QB 2 slot, for a fair loss at HB, but something you could easily withstand. But, with your team, there's no way I'd make that trade. Just as a bragging kind of thing, I have Portis, Forte, and Slaton on my team. How sick is that? I got Slaton off of WW, drafted the other two. I got Portis at #16 overall. I took P. Manning with my first pick because of the scoring in my league. 12 of the top 15 in my league are QB's right now. Last year ended with the top nine as QB's, so a QB as first pick made sense, and I ended up with one of the best teams in my league. I'm 2-3 because of a couple roster mistakes that I made, but I'm second in total points, which puts me in a good position.

It's really not all that crazy to say Eli has a brighter future than Peyton at this point in time. Although it'll be interesting to see if he has his usual late season dip in production. Peyton is also at the tail end of his career, while Eli is at the prime of his. There is no doubt in my mind, nor should there be in anyone's, that at the end of their careers, Peyton's stats will far surpass Eli's stats, and he will be considered the better of the two. Eli has a long way to go before he can be considered as good as Peyton.
