By throwing the ball away before you were actually in the end zone you caused me to lose my matchup this week by 1 point. With that reception(TD) I would have won. :LSJFLJDF :O Good game though. I won mine by about the same due to that retard, ahhahahah. what the hell was with a fucking hook and ladder for hte last play? at least try that shit a little closer to where you need to get to. the first pass was nearly 10 yards behind the LOS

Ron Jaworski is the most annoying person I have ever listened to. He says everything like it's the most interesting shit anyone has ever said in the history of the world, and then he has this annoying narrative voice like he's describing something from NFL Films Presents. To make things worse, he hardly ever adds real knowledge to the game. He's like Madden, pointing out all the obvious things: "you need to be able to run the ball in the fourth quarter when you have the lead." No shit Sherlock, you mean when you're up on a team, you want to kill the clock in the fourth? Holy shit, give this man the fucking trophy for "Most Obvious Statement". No fucking shit you need to run the ball in the fourth quarter. By the way, the underlines are semi-emphatic, and the bold is really emphatic. That's how that asshole talks. The worst part about him is that he isn't even remotely entertaining to listen to. Madden is hilarious, Ron is annoying. Then you have Tony Kornheiser's retarded ass on there. I can't think of a specific example of something stupid that he's said, but if you watch PTI for about five minutes you can figure out that the guy is the sports equivalent to the kid with Down Syndrome working the register at McDonald's. The only guy I can stand is the play by play guy, whose name escapes me, and that's because most of the time he's only describing the play for (assumedly) the blind people watching TV. The instant he injects his own view of what's going on I hate him too. Then those morons start talking about everything BUT football. They're worse than Al Michaels. Running their mouths about Jessica Simpson, and who knows what else. I've heard them talking about the most irrelevant shit during these games... like American Idol. Yeah, American fucking Idol. This isn't a fucking morning talk show where you get to talk about random hot topics, it's football. Keep the conversation on football, please. No one cares if you think John Jackass should have beaten David Douchebag for first place this season, your opinion is irrelevant. Just because you have the ability to spew your idiotic ramblings upon the viewers doesn't mean you should take advantage of it, you cocksuckers. Prior to tonight, I had never watched a football game on mute. I can no longer make that statement. I hate that crew so much that I actually muted my TV. Which sucked, because I like hearing the crowd and field noise. And please don't bitch about this being filled with hate. I've been bottling this up for at least one full season now. I hate that damn crew, and I've nearly stopped watching Monday Night Football because of them, but I like football too much to allow that to happen. agreed with jaws. I dont care for him at all. Tony's the man, but I kinda wish he'd stick to PTI. I dont see how you can hate taht show, i LOVE it. He's ok play by play. That other guy is joe something, isnt he? He's not bad. Hell, you could still have whats his face, dennis whatever, the comedian who did it for a season. **shudders**

I disagree on jaws, I love him............but i guess I'm a little biased due to my team. that hook and ladder angered me, they didn't even have someone running full speed to lateral to. Additionally, both times mcnabb got sacked at the end he should just grabbed the ball and taken off. sometimes i think he might be a little TOO into his drop back and pass-style quarterbacking. Those were clearly times he shoulda just ran for it and stepped outta bounds. At least give yourself a managable fourth down...4th and 24 only happens once or twice in a career

He was way outside the hash marks, there's no reason he took the sack.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3593304 I think you have to blame childress and his coaching staff for part of the problem. I don't think that they give jackson very good plays to run. Maybe it's because he isn't very good, but their passing game is absurdly conservative. They should really try to open it up a little bit to give peterson some more running room. Their receivers are complete garbage though, maybe that's part of the problem

He had a guy coming on a shallow in route (or maybe a drag route), and he threw the ball ten yards too high, and fifteen yards to the side out of bounds. It was a pass most NFL QB's can make with high percentages, and if they don't make it, they're at least CLOSE to the receiver. TJack sucks, he needed to be benched. SHOCKING NEWS: Bob Sanders is out for 4-6 weeks. Actually, it's not shocking at all. Ooooh, I just watched this video and I got all excited about the rest of the season. I love it how there isn't a clear #1 team in the AFC and the Broncos are in the running to be that team right now. The NFC has at least three teams that could be called the best in the conference right now, too.

Yeah... they did have it won, and it was a total blown call. but the result is still a loss. It is very unfortunate, but great teams should be able to overcome adversity such as bad play calling. I still have faith that my Chargers can turn their season around.

Tavaris Jackson sucks, to put it in Alex Smith terms: He has put up Alex Smith numbers while not having nearly as many Alexcuses. The Chargers are still the best 0-2 team out there. The Panthers are the worst 2-0 team imo, but they have a pretty good shot at going 5-0 before they get exposed for who they are. Go niners!

Mike Martz facing the team that fired him as ocoord, JTO facing the team that cut him (ok like the 6th team, but no matter), and the Lions defense... lol. This is a game I am looking forwards to. Jackson isn't QB anymore, which will (hopefully for Minn) mean that those FG's will be TD's this time around. If Jackson was even slightly competent as a QB they would have blown Indy out. Agreed on the Chargers being the best 0-2 team out there, but I wonder if their D will ever be as good as it was with no Shawne Merriman. I STILL think Alex Smith has potential as a QB. He looked very promising under Norv Turner, and I think if he had a system for more than a year he might look pretty good.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=keown/080916 I mean it's kind of obvious in some respects, if you let your player have a couple of years to develop then naturally he'll be better when he actually starts to play. The inherent problem is that you just never know when your quarterback is gonna go down or start to decline rapidly

The inherent problem is that you just never know when your quarterback is gonna go down or start to decline rapidly I haven't finished the article yet, but I absolutely hate people who say that the QB is the most important position in any sport. It's just not true. They're probably the most important guy on the offense, but that statement doesn't even come close to true. I can't stand people who put that much importance on a single player/position in football. I do agree with his statement about no players being asked to learn as much, as quickly, as NFL quarterbacks. That much is true, but that doesn't change their importance on the field. Imagine Peyton Manning on the Dolphins. Would they be better? Yes, without a doubt. Would they be as good as the Colts? Not a chance. The whole team is in shambles; one player simply cannot make that big of a difference there. He's right, definitely. You can see it with most QB's that get that opportunity. It's very rare that a QB comes in his rookie season and does well that season, and then goes on to do well for a long period of time. I can only think of two that have done that in the last 12 years or so, being McNabb and Manning, and McNabb didn't start until week 10. The problem is pretty much exactly what he said it was, sometimes you just don't have a choice but to draft a QB when your team is bad.

At least for the 3 major sports, I don't see how it can be disagreed that the quarterback is the most important position. What do you think IS the most important? Giving an answer like "they're all important" is a copout imo

At least for the 3 major sports, I don't see how it can be disagreed that the quarterback is the most important position. What do you think IS the most important? Giving an answer like "they're all important" is a copout imo The thing is that a single player can take over the game in basketball, for example. If you get a dominant shooting guard, he can, single-handedly, make your team better. An elite QB is nothing without a good offensive line in front of him. He's not as good without a good receiving corps, or a HB to take pressure off of him. Also, not at the same level as a shooting guard, perhaps, but an elite HB can really make the difference on a team. Look at Minnesota, for example, they went 8-8 last year on the legs of Adrian Peterson: with one of the worst QB's in the league. If they had an average QB throwing the ball, they probably would have been fighting to win the division. An elite QB is worthless without a decent team around him. He could make a decent team good, or a good team great, but he can't make a shitty team decent. On the other hand, a HB could (Barry Sanders).
