I think this is less important for Sagat because his f.hk and kara-uppercut can hit people who jump in from that range...?
i think if u throw a tiger shot and they jump u can never hit em with f.RH. althou with kara TU depending on the tiger shot used u can hit them if they jump full screen im pretty sure. i c it happen alot esp vs honda who neutral jump FP to hop over fbs they still get tagged with kara TU
i dont play sagat and not exactly sure of the ranges and the traps of each tiger shot
final round was some good shit 259 people in sf4 Justin won i think... there's results on srk probably. since i had to leave early i dont know.
i went 0-2 in the tournament but i moneymatched some randoms in sf4 and made back the money
though i wanted to see how i did against vegita x in sf4 so i moneymatched him twice and lost my 40 dollars (i expected to lose, it was more of a donation), went 2-5, 2-3, and then we played casuals for a bit and i went 7-12 with him. i managed to get 2 perfects on him in the moneymatches i was surprised that i did pretty good against him, the majority of the matches were a lot closer than that score would reflect. that dude is really fucking nice / cool. his stick broke and i let him borrow mine for a few matches in the tournament and then i managed to find my friend who had some replacement switches i heard he got 5th. but yeah in general that dude is real nice, gave me some advice and he told him some strats too
my friend ssj george bush got 9th at sf4 (lost to flashmetroid and jan. he told me before the tournament "if i play even a remotely good blanka or gief i will lose" and the gief part came true. he didn't play against a blanka so that might have been true too). He got 3rd in hdr, Justin Wong got a better at playing sagat vs. gief, i think he studied that match after last time. Justin won 2-1 the first time and 3-2 the second time. if there is a vid up of him playing evil rahsaan's seth it is FUCKING HILARIOUS. why would you even try to do the suck-in move on zangief what the fuck
also
random low tierness: rashid from Savannah, GA, rose player got top 16
also i was extremely shocked but i got to play VDO in casuals in marvel and he was playing his main team and i had my megaman/bbhood/juggernaut low tier and i managed to take a game off of him in the 3 we played and since i'm EXTREMELY bad at marvel i was very happy about that
Good to hear anotak, major +1 on vegita_x being one of the nicest guys around, him and magneto_x made sb4 so fucking awesome for me 8]. Your donation is a small one compared to the regular donations he gets from what we call tournaments lol. Too bad he's freetos to sagat, what geif aint though I suppose =/

raph aint free to sagat he did play pretty awful vs. that sagat from florida but he still won so whatever too bad he's free to every OTHER character except ryu since we don't have enough players down here. i dont even fucking know how he beat that seth player he has literally only played against my shitty "seth" like 3-4 times.
i dont know how marvel went i didnt get to stay for top 8 we lost as soon as hdr finished which was right after raph played his loser finals match because justin just said to damdai "man i really dont want to play you beat me too bad in winners i forfeit"
i think top 8 had justin, magneto-x, eric v, some others though, dont know the full list
As previously indicated by Ono-san, the game's producer, Hakan is the president of a cooking-oil company, and uses said oil on his body when enraged and/or aroused. Wait, what?
also the ridiculousness of something i saw at final round just truly popped into my head some dude playing a marvel tournament match and start out playing santhrax and then the second game counterpick ryu/sentinel/capcom and he did better WTF
FFF, ok big step, i can do kara TS (not the kind assisted by a previous TS) but i CANT do it consistently, it only shows up 30% of the time, and ONLY when im in the left side of the screen, managed to "dissect" the motion, f,neutral, qcf+whatever i noticed that if i do it too quick as a rule of thumb a tknee tupper will come out, i cant get the proper timing yet, but i guess only practice will allow me to succeed.. apr 4th its going to be showtime for me, there's only one player im afraid to face (a guile player nonetheless) i respect everyone, but it seems like i have been able to figure it out some of them, im not saying ill sweep the competition, but my goal is to be top10 at least.. wish me luck
I would say don't focus too hard on learning to kara shots and make sure you can do the following things: Whiff punish shoto c.mk with s.lk -> ex fireball most of the time antiair fools as they jumping with uppercut and kara uppercut bait out and be able to punish people's unsafe go-through-fireballs / random-you-out moves (things like ex green hand, ex blanka ball) punish blanka ball and other similar attacks with kara tiger uppercut fadc ultra
read this: http://sonichurricane.com/?page_id=1702 if you can have good footsies you should be fine even if you can't do kara shot I see a lot of videos of Sagat players where they focus on learning these mechanical tricks but they can't even antiair consistently.
