sticks: i use a custom built stick made by my friend, the outside is wood. parts from lizard lick, inside got a ps2 pad and a 360 pad as the boards, if you plug both in at the same time it'll fry both of them lol so just don't do that. i've got a good converter for ps2 -> ps3 doesn't feel like i have any lag on it. i've been meaning to get a cthulhu board with both 360/ps3, but i've heard things about dropping inputs on the ps3 end of those ? not sure if that's true.

i like it a lot more than japanese style but its basically not possible to play 3d games on it, i have to use a ps3 pad or borrow a japanese stick for tekken but i dont play that very well anyway so its not like it matters works great for all the 2d games though
sung_moon, you're probably talking about art. He's where I got my plexi and artwork from as well.
anotak, the Cthulhu are amazing pieces of work haha there will be no dropped inputs if you dualmod your stick with it. However, I'd stick with the PS2/360 combo because the PS2 has such great compatability with converters in case you ever want to break out the Dreamcast or something. I'm actually making an American style stick right now for the marvel action and 3rd strike because the cabs here use Happ parts for everything but SFIV.
first round i played against a Bison & slammed him horribly with Chun Li, but he went on to make top 16
second round I played a ridiculous Seth user from Calgary. It was the first time I have ever played against a Seth player. Everything he did was totally new to me, so it was basically just a Seth combo showcase hahahah
then in LB i lost to a Balrog 1-2 (1-2, 2-0, 1-2) I really should have beaten, but what can you do ^_^
oh and my match vs the seth player was one of the recorded matches i'm pretty sure, so once its uploaded i'll post it & you can all watch me get massacred

i used to get so nervous in tournaments and not be able to adapt to people in 2/3 situation at whatever the most recent impact clash was i almost got peaced out by some ryu that was just doing like random ultras and and he kept doing tatsu, last round i was about to get perfected with 1 pixel of life left and just something clicked in my brain like "man fuck this guy is AWFUL, fuck this" and then i proceeded to perfect him 3 times in a row like how i should've been doing the whole time. i proceeded to place 13th instead of 55th (or however much it was)...
before that moment though it was just my hands shaking and shit and not thinking and trying to play footsies and trick him with fireballs and there was nothing to trick with i was just not realizing how dumb he was

hahahaha holy shit God this was posted probably over a year ago, but reminds me of a match where Ryu had a sliver of life, used his baroque combo (went from full to sliver so the red was huge) and destroyed a...Karas? who was at full life ( I don't play this game so I don't know the names that well)
