There are other many little things you see there, subtleties that give him the edge. And well, his VOD as Bloodhunter is just amazing tbh. I'm sure you can do even better and his opponents were not the best, but so many little moments of brilliance over there like the clutch kill of Valk right under her tower as he circled around her to avoid stun. Btw, a question to good people: How do you counter Kraken's ult? I've been long thinking about it, and it seems that whatever you do, it's a lose/lose situation. If he ults your whole team, you all get damage and -armor and get raped by their AoE (even if you have a Barrier Idol, it's not infinite you know and doesn't stop terrible stuff like Voodoo's curse, besides, a Barrier Idol costs alot of money). If he ults like 2 people, you first fight 2v5, then 3v5. Shrunken Head negates the damage, but not the relocation. This is all assuming Kraken knows that his ult can be ended prematurely and has blink. There's no way you can stun him. The best thing that came to my mind was trying to somehow put his Portal Key on a cooldown, but you need to actually know he's ulting somewhere in the fog, it can be very hard. If you see him, Thunderbringer could ult to put blink on cooldown, or hell, even a Pharaoh. But most of the time, you don't see him coming until the very last moment, so what do you do? Multiple Barrier Idols maybe? Mass Puzzlebox? What do you do when there's a Soulstealer standing in the middle of the whirlpool? | ||

Easiest way to defend vs kraken is to play the game of a gank push style, so even if he gets a few people, you should still be on even footing pushing. Also having wards behind their towers is a good way to see if he is ulting. Stay spread out, and if you have to, get people with bkb to be in front (so they can activate bkb to survive aoe), and hope your team either can back them up, or realize if they should go or not. Kraken overall btw, is somewhat a weak laner, so you can deny him farm much like denying behemoth farm in a lane. Harass him a decent bit and just keep him off the creep line. A couple ganks and he wont be able to farm well enough to have a huge impact late game once you have multiple items. | ||

From my experience, Kraken can do his team good even if he just has a pair of boots and a portal key. He can jungle it if he is completely denied farm. Besides, he's not that weak a laner, not a stunner, be he has loads of HP, two escapes (albeit one only works vs melee) and unless he is dead, he's guaranteed to lasthit at least something with splash. | ||

Testie has had 750+ before in a few pub games, but overall its not that great of an indicator of skill, because testies stats also include high level scrims where he maintains good kdr and creep stats. | ||

You can force him to stay off the line with the threat of dieing. Just because he can kill something with splash doesnt mean he will be doing a great job with doing it and then living vs the opposing 2 heroes. Even if he gets a portal key, you have to play with offensive wards or a gank/push style to be really effective vs him. Or just force team fights elsewhere on the map so his ult is down when you push. If you have a decent hero line up you could even dual push lanes to force their team to split up. | ||
