I believe hon's engine is called K2 but it's really just started out as the same engine as savage 2 which has been updated over the years, the most heavy upgrading occurring in the past year; performance changes to make hon as light weight as possible on computers. I can tell you this hon's is far more refined it takes a few lines of code to create any hero or item and hon has a few ability types that dota 2 just doesn't have most notably vector abilities. Unless you want to create a new ability type. So i'd say at the moment hon's in terms of making a dota style game is better. As far as network performance etc i have no clue, but i'll say that i like hon's feel better then dota 2's feel. Can't really knock hon on having glitches all games have glitches it's about how quickly really bad ones get patched most really bad glitches like the axe 100% proc spin got patched in half a day same with infinite gold exploit etc. Dota 2 is one a similar time line, game breaking exploit get a next day patch usually not as quick but still acceptable, little bugs get worked into the next major patch which is anywhere from one to two weeks. Only thing i like in dota 2 more then hon is the cam distance is further out then hon's. Outside of that i prefer hon's shop, i prefer the look of hon and how hon handles chat rooms buddylists and stats. | ||
