Most people say dota2 feels a bit slow, I see what they mean but I prefer the heroes in the dota universe

HoN is seriously pissing me off right now. I've been playing LoL with a friend, and managed to convince him to switch over to HoN, with the idea of eventually making the switch to Dota 2 easier when the game comes out.
Unfortunately, HoN doesn't even run on my new computer. I have an i7 processor, running windows 7 (64 bit), and every time I start the game, it freezes on the S2 logo and then crashes, with the error message "k2 exception" I've searched around the web, and the only fix somebody had didn't work. I've already tried to reinstall, run as an administrator, and use integrated graphics. Nothing works. If anybody has experienced this issue and has a solution, I'd be a very happy man.
*edit: fixed. had to redefine some defaults and run as administrator. it wasn't running integrated graphics until i set it as a default. Off to play HoN!

Not many of the oldschoolers from when you played are still around but still a decent number of tlers on. Off the top of my head I've recently seen kickstart newbie kupo ten ren eepic viperskwa then theres a bunch that play that arent tagged under tl anymore. It's a shame that valve is butchering the potential of dota 2, maybe the final product will be worth playing. Right now unless your inhousing there is an avg of 2-3 leavers a game in my experience. And getting anyone to ward or courier or to even pick properly is a joke. Hopefully leaver system + ranking system is implemented to improve game quality.
Get rather annoyed at people complaining about op s2 heroes with ~70% of the heroes picked competitively being dota ports. There is room to complain about the ea heroes though, but I don't recall any dota heroes being released that didn't seem op/up when they first came out.
Interested to see what the new ea hero is, hoping for artemis, if it's him might actually buy 1 for a change.
Hope they find time in all their money grubbing to do a balance patch mb nerf is over due. Still waiting on vindi rework release.

You forget that dota2's in beta, so nobody cares about leaver stats yet as they'll be reset at retail anyway.

dont really care for hon heroes imba argument but here are dota heroes that werent anything op when they came out, at least when people learned how to play against them

If a hero is imbalanced fucking pick him and win all the time, prove your point. Not picking that hero and complaining out of some, i don't use cheap heroes becuase i'm not a noob is idiotic. It's like playing mvc2 and only picking low teirs then complain when you get you're ass whoped and claim the game isn't fun, if winning was the hallmark of fun then pick heroes to win.

ran into a guy named WasifK who claimed he was CombatEX... first game we played against him and owned him, he ended up 0-8 as Zephyr. Next game, he was on my team, did nothing but jungle all game and BM us but we still won anyway, but before they CC'd we kicked him lol

any thoughts on how OP anti-mage is? i don't think there has been one game where the opposing team without AM won lol
