As if the pro version of a console is going to solve world hunger or something. This happened with the Switch for years, people kept baiting that a "Switch Pro" was totally coming, then it never happened and people got angry over Nintendo never releasing something that they never announced. It's stupid. In the meantime, the supply chain only just now seems to have gotten sorted out enough that if someone wants a basic PS5 they can just get one now. I just got mine this past holiday season. The scarcity has been insane. It makes no sense to already be gearing up to do a PS5 pro. Besides all that, it's already the most powerful console as far as I can tell, and runs everything great. I honestly don't care. See my previous comment saying the exact same thing. I just don't know how they can make the update significant enough to justify it.

I can imagine if PSVR2 is actually a big hit and more and more developer jump on that train, the GPU power of the current PS5 just won't be enough for the next 5+ years

I doubt anything to do will make it a worthwhile upgrade for anyone besides collectors and those who don't have one yet. I'll be skipping it whenever they do come out with it though. Played RE4 and it's just as scary as the first time. Trying to find the testicular fortitude to continue. I'll let ya know how the combat is.

After release Yoshi P needs to go on a mandatory vacation for a couple of months. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPpeKX1PDIo He can go on vacation after he gives Vieras hats in FF14. >_>

Following days of speculation, Insider Gaming can report that there’s a new PlayStation Handheld in development. Codenamed the Q Lite, the next PlayStation handheld is the next piece of Sony hardware that aims to be yet another piece of hardware that requires the PlayStation 5. Insider Gaming understands that the Q Lite is not a cloud-streaming device, but instead uses Remote Play with the PlayStation 5 – A feature the console giant has been pushing these past couple of weeks. Sporting adaptive streaming up to 1080p and 60FPS, the new device will require constant connectivity to the internet. As for the console’s physical features, early prototypes show the console will look a lot like a PlayStation 5 controller, but with a massive 8-inch LCD touchscreen in the center. The device sports adaptive triggers for haptic feedback and will include what you would come to expect from a handheld – Volume buttons, speakers, an audio input jack, etc. Insider Gaming understands that the Q Lite is in its QA phase and is scheduled to release before the PlayStation 5 Pro and after the Detachable Disc Drive PS5. As previously mentioned by industry insider Jeff Grubb, Sony is planning to announce its “second phase of the PS5”, which was in reference to its future game slate. Ironically though, this “second phase” is very much true for Sony’s hardware offerings, with the new detachable disc drive PlayStation 5, Project Nomad (wireless earphones), Project Voyager (wireless headset), and Q Lite (handheld) all scheduled to release within a very short period. It’s understood that the PlayStation 5 Pro is aiming for a holiday 2024 release. So whenever Sony’s next PlayStation Showcase will be, it’s seemingly going to be a big one. Source

The God of War Ragnarök New Game Plus (NG+) update is available now. To make sure you’re ready to jump back into the Nine Realms, we’ve put together everything you need to know below. Change the way you play New equipment, an increased level cap, new Enchantments – all this and more is introduced with God of War Ragnarök’s NG+ mode. As soon as you’ve beaten the game, you’ll be able to dive right into a NG+ save to experience the story again with many more gameplay options available from the start. Your equipment, weapons (including the Draupnir Spear), and skills will carry over from your previous save, so you’ll be able to use your entire arsenal from the beginning of your journey. I completed the main story, then got my Platinum trophy and 100% the 9 realms. Took about 40 hours which I thought was a bit short but it's whatever, still a great game. If the NG+ was an option at the time I MIGHT have done a 2nd playthrough, but it wasn't, so I just shelved the game and started playing another. Zero incentive to do a second playthrough now tbh.

Same thing for me with Valheim for example. New biome was released with new content, new boss, new crafting and everything. But the game is shelfed already and I can't be bothered to "re-learn" everything. Tried it once for about 10mins only to never open it up again
