Conversely, if everyone has 108 gems equipped, or whatever it is to prevent becoming a vampire, then his muramasa attack hurts a lot too so I'll have at least one member who will duke it out w/ Elmdor repeatedly sucking each other's blood. The Chirijiraden is there, just look harder =D (I don't remember exactly where it is but I've gotten it). There's also an easy way to deal with Wiegraf/Velius, though it was super hard when I first played the game because I didn't know the 'trick' to it, and I'm sure there are other ways. Have Ramza use the Auto-potion ability and either be a squire or have Basic Skills as the secondary ability. I've used Ramza as a ninja w/ Basic skills or monk/squire, doesn't really matter though. I assume you've gotten all of the skills in the Squire class so just use speed up(Yell) a bunch of times right when the battle starts while avoiding Wiegraf. You probably won't be able to totally avoid him while speeding up but assuming your move ability is at least 4 you wont have any problems since you don't have to waste a turn using a potion and you'll be plenty faster than him in a few rounds. The only battle that I can remember having a tough time on is the battle where Rafa is fighting Elmdor and his two bitches on the rooftop. It can be lame because you can't control Rafa and if she dies you lose. Often times she would die before I even got a chance to do anything so now I know to have a fast member in my party.

![]() ![]() ![]() I totally forgot the Elmdor rooftop fight, I hated that so much. I replayed it over and over until I figured out exactly what I had to do to have my guys tank for Rafa, then hope for a way to also get Elmdor critical. I forget the fight because the wiegraf/velius fight right before it was always on my mind ![]()

That roof top scene was retarded, Rafa kept getting herself killed, ugh. Anyway, did I mention I love stealing in FFT? The rooftop is the only time when assassins carry those special head gears right? If so then I actually ran around and stole everyone's equipment...the two assassin's as well as Elmdor's stuff. Forgot how I did it though... those instant death protection accessories work against assassin's instant death right? Anyway, if there was anytime in the game where a guy that carries neat stuff I always stole everything before killing them. Had rune blades before the final chapter, haha.

So far I'm doing pretty well but I got a little question; Is it better to get fire then fire2, fire3 , fire4 or should I just skip the early levels and save up for fire 4 or other powerful more advanced magic?

Math was imbalanced, i use all characters generated by myself (IE no special chars, cept when you cant get rid of ramza).

And I noticed that I had like 500 jp for my wizard and I could get fire1 2 and 3, but is it worth it? I'm starting to realize the number of skill combinations is a lot, this game will drive me crazy... *1 more thing, should I try getting a thief early on, or is stealing stuff more of a late game thing?

![]() I tried to avoid anything "gay" or "imba". Some stuff you steal will make you very powerful. Same with some characters. I never got a thief. You can check a class chart too see what jobs you want to level. For example getting a high lvl knight could be good. But getting to many could be a waste cause you don't need very leveled knights to move on to the next classes. My fav classes are Ninja, Dragonknight, summoner, BlackMage/WhiteMage, Time mage. I prefer basing my game on tactics than on imba stuff ![]() Usually the best things to steal are later on the game. With the mage see how much battles last for you. If you end them in 9 turns you can spam high level magic, but if your battles last more you will need to refill your mp to cast magic and maybe getting lower level magic is a better idea.

Like some said you never see them die. And, Olan(was that his name?), that you meet and eventually writes the book, is burned at the stake.

Honestly I would just clone excalibur on all the chars, use the squire / holy knight / swordsman class then destroyed everyone in the first round of battle

For an even greater imbalance, have a char with all possible spells (time, white, black, oracle) and max out the calculator job class then become a wizard (since the MA of a wiz is the highest). gg On April 19 2007 09:13 Mascherano wrote: Well all of the guys in my party Ramza (knight) + 2 girl knights , a woman priest, and a male wizard: I gave them all jp +, accumulate and +1 move to the knights.(i think im lvl 9 or 8) And I noticed that I had like 500 jp for my wizard and I could get fire1 2 and 3, but is it worth it? I'm starting to realize the number of skill combinations is a lot, this game will drive me crazy... *1 more thing, should I try getting a thief early on, or is stealing stuff more of a late game thing? Hm, I haven't played this game in a few years so my memory may not be 100% accurate. Anyhow stealing is definitely viable prior to late game, although you don't have to rush to get a thief but if you want some of the good items that you can get without stealing without too much hassle try to have two people with thief skills by mid-game, not sure what level that is but probably after Chapter 2? Plus when you get to the higher levels and enter a random battle, sometimes enemies will have equipments that a tier or two beyond what you can buy at the time so if you always want the best stuff, you're going to need a thief. You can wait for them to expire when they die but sometimes you get a crystal, which is better imo. Also if an enemy has a skill that I don't have, I just steal all their stuff then kill them and wait for their body to expire. Since they don't have anything equipped their body can't turn into a chest so you'll get their crystals which lets you obtain their skills in the classes that your character can access.

I usually don't like black mage's higher level skills since it takes so long to charge up that if I had knights or samurais, the unit targeted would have been long dead. I usually went with quick to charge spells until I got something like short charge.

One of my favourite games as well. Great soundtrack too!
