The other 3D Zelda games have always been noticeably more railroaded than their 2D predecessors. yeah that's true. When you said it's always been that way I thought about n64 and later stuff but thinking back to stuff before n64, there was more "exploring" involved. But I'd say say botw is doing more of that than the prequels

Not seeing the boxes got me wondering though...did that first guy lied to me and those were real? How common is to have empty display boxes in Canada?

it's more for games that are less demanding. I played that and MK on a long plane ride recently.

I travel about 2.5h by train every day, of which I game around one hour to the full 2.5 hours.. battery only gives a warning when I'm playing at 100% brightness. Unrelated: how good is Splatoon 2's campaign? Is it worth paying €30 for (I've got some games I can trade in)? I may play the multiplayer occasionally, but it won't be the main reason why I want to get the game.

One interesting thing about Zelda is that the 2 most recent 3d Zeldas are the completly different ones. Skyward Sword is the most railroad and story intensive zelda, the game is pretty much a big dungeon.BotW is the most exploratory one, it even has more freedom than 2d Zeldas like ALBW. And it's dtory is pretty badic and unrelated to other games in the franchise

Guess I'll just wait for RiME to come out, or the Rayman Legends ultimate edition whenever they plan to release it. Then again, still having fun with BoTW, 140 hours and counting now. Sure the story is pretty basic, but what sells the game world, at least to me, are the dozens of little vignets of environment-based story telling. As a somewhat seasoned Dark Souls player I can clearly see where they got the mustard from (pun unintended).

I'm sure they were just display boxes. Nintendo sent out a ton of empty Switch boxes back before release for stores to put on display. I'm guessing the manager of the second EB store you visited decided to take theirs down since the Switch has been out for a couple months now. Good luck on your hunt to find a Switch!

Also, after you got the Master sword and did all 4 divine beasts is there any main questish thing left to do? I did all except the big thunder camel and I'm hoping it won't be a straight march to ganon after that because i hear there's not much to do there as well.

Hard to imagine someone becoming so hateful with that kind of background. Also kudos for not being super effeminate. Ganondorf/Ganon is the result of a centuries old curse by the Demon King Demise(reincarnated as Ganon/Ganondorf going forward) against the goddess Hylia("Zelda" going forward through bloodline). OOT Ganondorf is killed in Wind Waker during the adult timeline. He's executed after Majora's Mask in the child timeline. He dies in A Link to the Past in the downfall timeline. You can still seek out the 12 memories in the Sheikah Slate if you want to pursue the true ending. Everything else is non-critical. Do you want the tunic? Do you want the Hylian Shield?

Doesn't mean they all wanted to bang him. A big part of Gerudo culture involved either attracting men from other races or straight up kidnapping them and... alluding to raping them. We know at least Nabooru resented him because their culture made him the leader just for being born. Who knows how many else held the same views.
