Or a Gamecube compatible Wii.

Thanks for the recommendation! I've heard great things about that game

What. Switch was not out in Brazil? How come?

Nintendo just didn't think an official release was financially worth it (which imo was a mistake) or it was just never a priority and ignored until now. Some people here (like myself) do have switches, but they've either bought outside the country or it's an american unit that was imported.
While I do think an official release will mean a reasonable number of units will get sold, it will be slow going unless nintendo starts pricing games regionally like steam and xbox, and I think this is very unlikely to happen.

I’m intrigued to what the enhanced interactivity would entail, perhaps some kind of force sensitive touchscreen? That’s pretty nifty on my phone but not sure how you’d use it in games.
As an aside has anyone modded their Switch? I’d love to take the plunge but am scared of bricking it. Still mystified why Nintendo haven’t seized upon their VAST back library and monetised it in making the Switch an emulation machine.
What we have is great, it’s fantastic as a big of hardware just feels a huge missed opportunity. It’s my first non handheld Nintendo console and there’s quite a few N64 games especially I’d love to get playing. The Wii Virtual Console had Nintendo already doing this.
If there is a Switch Pro coming I’d perhaps be tempted to get one as my Switch is of the vintage that can be modded.
Aside from sticking emulators on it when tbh I’d rather pay a small amount for titles I’ve seen some pretty nifty videos of modded Switches with appreciable performance improvements in certain games too.

Maybe a console only Switch would be able to provide the power required for the VR/AR patents we saw years ago.

Console only wouldnt be a switch then though?

Neither is the Switch Lite, but here we are.

As frequently critical I am of Nintendo not making the Switch more of an emulator machine and opening up their library at a reasonable price, especially for people like me who didn’t have an N64 or Wii.
Hey 3 bonafide classics for 20 dollars a pop each is pretty damn swell. Good to see.
Rights issues aside (see, Goldeneye) just fucking open your library up wholesale, charge a few bucks or whatever.
I like how Nintendo (generally) do business and how their systems work and largely steer clear of the murky world of microtransactions. Be happy to throw them some money to play with the kiddo on the Switch rather than having to seek emulators.

Big meh to me. Outside of the RC car thing nothing interested me at all, and even then the RC thing was only conceptually. How many times am I supposed to see Super Mario 64 get re-released and care? Sunshine is neat, but who thought it would be a good idea to put Galaxy there without Galaxy 2?

I would be shocked if Galaxy 2 doesn't eventually come out for the Switch at a later date too

I'm not a fan of the 3D Mario collection being a timed release that won't be available after March of next year. If I'm not able to pick it up within that time frame for whatever reason, I'm out of luck unless I somehow find a leftover or used physical copy.

If it was a pure collectors thing with a limited run and limited to physical copies sure. Wouldn’t be my preference of course. But I mean if you can download it what’s the blooming point of making it timed like this?

Definitely a valid point. I don't understand the logic behind making it a limited time offer.

Artificial scarcity. You might not actually want it right now, but tomorrow you might not have the chance to get it anymore. So you buy it now in case you might want it later. Despite the fact that you actually do not want it right now.

I wouldn't mind the strategy normally but doing it during the COVID-19 pandemic seems a little bit tactless. Still definitely going to pick it up

I don't have a switch but i am surprised that there is no "fall guys" for switch. I think this game fits perfectly there.
I want to buy/play switch but I need games. there are 2 interesting games for me (CTR nitro fueled and Diablo3), but that is not enough for me to pay 350€++. I am rather a player who just play a few game for countless hours, I don't need a campaign/story. Most games sound like you only can play the campaign.
