Too bad I wasn't there, have a 1700cp fire fang/fire blast arcanine which is perfect for that!
Actually about 1/4 my inventory is filled with pristiging pokemon of various types and cp

it lags my phone. so dodging solar beam was touch and go, and when it hit, i lost. i initially used a 2290 arcanine with bite/fire blast, but there was no room for error, so i switched to a less ideal snorlax with zen headbutt/body slam that was about the same CP. if the game didnt lag like shit, and constantly crash due to the gym bug, it wouldnt have been as bad. but still, who puts such a high exeggutor at the bottom of a gym.....

I think you have enough gyradoses, do you have the big magikarp achievement? It seems you need a good snorlax/lapras/execcute now. Also how is it possible your guaradoses are ordered 91 -> 93 -> 91?

gyarados are my gym holders. i do not have the magikarp achievement, that takes forever. i think its like 10% of magikarp are XL.
i have a good snorlax (actually three good ones), but no candy. i have exactly one lapras with decent moves/low IV, but no candy so i am walking her. lapras is my dragonite killer for sure, but at 1800 there is room for improvement. i have a CP 2200 execcute with decent moves, but its iv is low so not good enough to upgrade. i have two others around 1700s, but not worth upgrading and they help prestige low level vapes.
i dont know why it goes 91-93-91. its ordered by cp, and then i read that the next criteria for listing is whatever one you interacted with lsat.

When sorting by CP I think being in a gym bumps you up the list?

Attack has a higher impact on CP than Defense or Stamina.

It's hard to tell if the CP reduction is optional, only if there is a big trainer level disparity, or always.
If it's always, it sucks. I won't be able to use my 1700 CP Jolteon anymore for quick prestiging, my 1200 Parasect will give much less prestige, etc.
But I think they will change the entire formula and it won't be +500 for same CP anymore.
Anyway I'm glad they announced new updates. The medal thingy is nice, the training update is potentially nice, not entirely what I was hoping for but better than nothing

My guess is there's going to be a flat points per win & victory bonus much like attacking a gym and all the enemy pokemon will be reduced to the same level as your highest pokemon. I bet CP won't matter at all anymore unless you select pokemon higher CP than their lowest CP.
To me this seems like in part a targeted nerf against bubblestrat while also avoiding similar tricks (like the less efficient, but still viable magikarp training).

Yeah, that was the point. At one point, when the game was buggy and all that, they were so silent that even Valve came of as being extremely communicative. But they are certainly improving one step at a time.

It's only reliable for the big obvious nests in my city. Out of the 7 confirmed nests we have had, only 2 are confirmed by them right now.
