We played on Tuscan despite us not knowing any callouts, tactics, smokes, etc so we spent about 7 minutes in game doing that before the start of the match. We lost knife and the other opted to start t side (we wanted t side so we could copy their ct setup). So, we lose pistols, won the force, lost again, won next round with another force and then pork gets a vac authentication error (silly pork). We wait 20 minutes for that to be fixed, and we proved to end up the half 7-8. T side pistols, we do a 5 man cat rush, won that, and proceeded to win every round after, netting us a nice 16-8 to start of the cevo league.
So uh we all got pumped up to play our match on cobble, and our opponent didn't show since they messed up the time zones (They're west coast and they signed up for central....). We took the FFW which means that we'll play another team that also had a forfeit win (which in hindsight was a bad idea on my part as we could have waited 2 hours and destroyed these guys).
Anyways, we started work on our season as that is next week's map. We actually got 2 scrims in against an ex-Main team that we almost beat 13-16 (damn good for our first time on the map) then we played another main team that destroyed our flawed T side play. Notes for the map is that we need to make sure that we can control mid because who-ever has mid control on Season has a huge advantage going into the mid round.
NOTE!!! WE ARE LOOKING FOR 1 MORE FOR ESEA TEAM! PM ME IF YOU'RE INTERESTED!!

http://cevo.com/event/cs-globaloffensive/match/183659/ for match page. We started off with a loss in ct pistols, then proceeded to start trading rifle rounds back and forth with them. Most of our rifle losses were due to a misplay at our B setup, letting them have good entries into B. We end up the half 7-8. 2nd half, we get some ridiculous glock kills and wipe them pistol round. The rest was history as we win the half 16-9 with 1 round going haywire due to us making some mistakes with our B execute.
we lost CT pistols due to some miscommunications and sloppiness, then went down 6-0 until we got an AWP rolling and brought it back 8-7. T side, we won pistols, got a good start into the half but then lost our control of the game because fundamental issues:
I was leading the team in the wrong way. I was emphasizing apts control but we really should be focusing on getting brackets control. The apts take is only a stepping stone to get a guy boiler so that we can have 3 peek mid safely and secure it; we would take apts but then let the control sit there which means that Soh and Pork were not doing much at all mid round. There was a huge problem with our Banana takes due to fundamental errors regarding teamwork; getting picked off, no trades, only 1 going up, etc. of which I attributed 100% to me for failing to drill it down properly to what I wanted to happen banana. However, it's only 1 game and we still have a long season to go (next map is train) so I still believe that we'll do well (train is simpler in nature yet we can do some really fancy stuff on it). There is also starting to be a role shift. We originally had Soh awp but now that has changed to where I'm the primary awper and calling at the same time. I don't think it has affected my calling but it has definitely changed how i am playing which i need to still take care of.
We didn't get much practice which sucked. Our train match was cancelled by CEVO because of that massive new patch, but our opponents claimed a FFW. I disputed it and its still pending; CEVO admins are lazy man. Moving on, we won our Cache game even though our T side was atrocious since we had no practice on Cache. We just carried our CT side to victory and at least 2 T rounds were won through eco buys. Doesn't help that I played so badly .
