If they were just underperforming I'd say they were underperforming. It showed in both games that NiP knew what nV was up to. then NiP was figured out million times before? they didnt do anything particularly different then other matches, they were just hitting their shots and thats it, if nV wins that game by just hitting their shots, would you say they were figured out ? if anything they did some REALLY questionable things (like forest going B on inferno instead of A) agaisnt TSM as CT I don't think they were figured out as much as this tournament exposed that Happy isn't as good of a strat caller as some might think he is, and so when his team isn't on their A game, they falter on even some critical rounds, even rounds they traditionally win, like anti-eco/pistol rounds. In the NiP game specifically it was just super uncharacteristic to see them losing inexcusable anti-ecos on the 10-14 scoreline. Now....to be fair the NiP magic was fucking crazy today. Think back to the original LDLC when Happy was actually doing strat calls instead of lurking and getting massive frags. He had a shit team compared to the ones now, but what was interesting about that team was Happy's ability to make rounds happen with far inferior skill. Under him a shit player like Uzi was considered by some to be one of the most "improved" players because he would have clutch performances. After Uzi was dropped, we really haven't heard from him again, while Maniac/Apex have never really impressed the way they did on LDLC. The reason is, I think, because Happy actually did a lot of strat calling and maintained a lot of control over his team to enable them to get the things that he wanted done. I think since nV have such a massively skilled team, Happy's more comfortable with letting his experienced players playing loose in positions that favor their strengths, which arguably I would say is the right call, because it'd be silly to get people like NBK/Shox and tell them that they have to play a certain way when they're much better when you just unleash them on the enemy. It also frees up Happy to do some crazy things, and you saw that at MLG X Games when he was dropping 30 bombs when traditionally in game leaders just...never get those numbers Obviously, the downside is if these players just have an off game, and in this case it was everyone on nV not having good games (Shox, NBK, Happy, Kioshima all had pretty meh~ showings while Smithzz maintained a mellow level of consistency), it can hurt their performance. Usually one player will just go full ham and fuck the enemy team single handedly, but it just didn't happen today. The whole "nV was just underperforming/not hitting their shots" thing is very, very lazy analysis. I mean NiP blatantly demonstrated that they anti-stratted nV. Think of it this way: NiP didn't pick nV's best map just because they thought they'd be able to out-aim the Frenchmen. I think you guys should listen to sgares's analysis more during the casting; it's very informative. As he mentioned, NiP was just playing very perfect Counter-Strike for many of the rounds, and not only did NiP know what nV was up to, but even sean knew what they almost always did.
Fair, but you are being SUPER unrealistic to believe teams cant have an off day.
Cs:go isnt played between 4 walls where everything that goes in your life dissapears, its not.
We never said NiP wasnt better but nV looked off, was that because NiP was playing better ? Or maybe because (who knows) every nV player had a problem in their personal life that made them not play good enough?
We will never know, but neither should be throw out of the window

Don't be lol. They don't give a fuck what anyone thinks of them or else they wouldn't be exploiting maps and bm-ing.

Let's go Fnatic. But let's go NiP aswell. But mostly Fnatic. For the guys who've yet to win a major, Olof and Krimz top the list.

NiP better veto inferno if they want to win.
It's easily their worst map. not the mention that its fnatic's best map.

I'm so ready. Let's go NINJAS!

Honestly I think its more than a bit petty that Carmac and all of ESL won't hire him from an off-hand comment which he has apologized for. It also doesn't help that Carmac and Thorin don't like each other personally

The voice of CSGO Im surprised, ESL announced on twitter that it would be deman, tosspot and sgares. Then they went back on it and announced Tosspot and sgares, and now Anders is back in.
