I was just happy to have a new RTS but this company didn't show much in this time. So now I don't trust them until they prove otherwise. But my saying they moved on was a statement of frustration. Did HuK / destiny and bikerush stop playing? I may try and stream / play some of it tonight since its been weeks, I kinda want to play with the goo, im really sad this game isn't doing better, I really enjoyed it

Bikerush quit ~5-6 weeks ago.
He also made new accounts on reddit all of the time and talked about himself in third person. It wasn't obvious at first but it became painfully obvious quite quickly.
Bikerush officially retires from Grey Goo (self.greygoo)

Due to Grey Goo never taking off, Bikerush is left very disappointed and has been confirmed to return to CNC3 Kane's Wrath. This is very bad news to the game, as Bikerush was consistently the most popular streamer of Grey Goo even before its official release. The game's massive popularity decline also strangely coincided with the time when Bikerush has stopped streaming around 2 weeks ago, dropping from ~2k current players to just ~200-300 at the moment. It remains to be seen if anyone is capable of filling up the massive gap that Bikerush has left. However controversial he has been, Bikerush will be missed by the community.

Stop making new accounts and writing in the exact same style/talking about yourself in the third person. Holy hell this is so cringey it hurts.

Don't come back, quit violating reddit rules, work on your writing.

Bikerush actually streams occasionally. I saw him as recently as last week.

Is there like a crazy diehard Kane's Wrath fanbase out there?? I can't imagine it's more competitive than Grey Goo.
Either way I kinda feel bad for the guy, apparently he quit his job as a painter to pursue streaming. I mean it's obviously very short sighted and obvious but still. :-\

LOL exactly what I was thinking, so I went and checked - http://steamcharts.com/search/?q=Command and Conquer The man clearly has issues if he makes multiple accounts to talk about himself in 3rd person just to make himself look like anyone cares

But there's no way it's going to be a huge playerbase, because EA doesn't even maintain multiplayer for ANY of those CnC games even though they're only 5-6 years old. You have to download an extra program and set up extra bullshit to play online.

Bike has been playing GG. He's trying to arrange a small league. He's not so bad, he just has his moments. I think he is a Naniwa type figure in his games.

Please don't compare Bikerush to Naniwa, not even remotely in the same league.

Bikerush pretty much killed GG. I had a few friends who decide to check out GG on twitchtv, click on the most popular stream...and decided that the game wasn't for them.

I don't know if one streamer can kill a game.

If Bikerush were the only person I watched, I wouldn't have bought the game. He really was a terrible promoter for the game.
Although I feel like he's gotten a little better now. Not great but he won't scare people off anymore.

if you guys are interested in getting the game, grey goo is currently discounted on g2a.com
i got it at like 40% off.

True. I hope AoA is going to be better than Grey Goo, PA or Etherium. Too many mediocre rts games these days

i'm waiting for a a "Steam Free Weekend" for this game. they better do that soon. otherwise, no one will be playing it. and that "no one" is no exaggeration. the game is how old and during minimum times less than 50 people are playing it. ouch. 4 of the last 6 days.. under 50 users.

save your grey goo and Act of Aggression money for Legacy of the Void Collector's Edition.

Wanted to wait for something like that too, but purchased it anyway for €30. The $25 g2a deal sounds more than fair to me. But i`m afraid that still to much money to overcome for most people. Quite depressing situation.
After the past couple of weeks, i`ve checked the ladder every now and then, and it looks very stagnant.
The potential (gameplay/mechanics) is real... but, seeing only hardcores grinding mp doesn't add much to my personal gaming experience :p
Hanging currently in one of the last goo missions, and still figuring out new things.
I`m starting to like the goo.

Act of Aggression doesn't look like my kind of rts. Modern war simulators :p I'll try to be open minded when it releases though.
