wtf such an amazing thing, but there's literally zero info in this post.
When is this happening? Where do we watch? How do we sign up? How can we support? Is this online or LAN? (Please tell me this is not online tourney for $100k)

My thoughts after clicking on this link: Awesome! But please update the thread title.

edit: Bad wording by me, instead of "clicking on this link" I in fact meant "clicking on the thread title on the tl.net sidebar".
Yea everything will be live streamed, its ridiculous how competitive this game has gotten. The macro and micro required to play at the top level is huge. As far as I know wsvg is just responsible for advertising/partner, There are a few big money sponsers with personal teams that undertake/pay for these huge tourneys. It has been tournment after tournment. Very awesome game to even just spectate. Aoczone.net is the place to check out.
The sponsor is one rich guy that has sponsored more than U$100000 so far in several tournaments, so the tournament has a very good backup ,WSVG is only a partner for some advertising. The key elements are Voobly, Aoczone and the Sponsor as always. the World Cup that was sponsored by a Chinese guy with $30000, was streamed almost completely, so the chances are that most of the matches will be stream.
Started out as a single backer, now there are a few :0, pretty impressive for such an old game. I've been tuning into a few of their streams and its actually pretty cool, Rts gamers would definitely approve. Wish em luck in the future!
Interesting...seems to be a 3v3 tournament from reading the site although not 100% clear. I used to be decent at this game (2k+ rating) wonder if it's worth trying to practice and find a team...

It is always worthy for the fun of the game, today experts are like machines, beware that a 2k+ zone rating is like a 1800+ player now, which one was your nick back then?, in the community there are many old school players, even Koven could be back. I think most of the games will be 4v4, if I am not wrong
Actually I'm pretty sure the prize money will be paid. There have been a few tournments, that have added up over 200k$....same sponser, A lot of smaller tournys as well for lower level players, Hell he paid a grand for one match literally 1 game to be played between two old school players who came back to the game. Ive been keeping an eye on this stuff. Its pretty damm legit.

He has already sponsored other events. This guy is quite rich (I heard he is saudi). They had a week of bootcamping at the start of 2014 with a lot of activities on his expenses. https://www.youtube.com/user/TyRanTAgeOfEmpires/videos
Dont forget about the Sy Sponser 😀 They just finished a 30k$ tourny a few weeks ago, Some Chinese guy. But yea the Saudi is definitely throwing around a lot of cash 😎

Actually a very hard task, in a 4v4 could be easily 10+ fightings going on the map and tracking the armory upgrades the eco management and the strategy decisions of every player, it is not going to be easy for the streamers.
No. The veteran/new competitive players play on Voobly a seprate client thats partenered with other sponsers that help support the tournys ect... The Hd version is a majority of new players, and/or single player ( filthy casuals Kappa )

Well. To be fair, TyRanT(DauT,TheViper and JorDan_23 precisely) will also be the ones to win pretty much all of the prize money anyway. But this does sound awesome, would love to watch.
