my guess, based on absolutely nothing would be announce next expansion 2 months after 6.2, begin beta 2 weeks after. 4 months later release.

classic was 3 tier
tbc was 3 tier
wotlk was 4 tier
cata was 3 tier
i missed MOP, but surely you guys didn't go from launch patch straight into garrosh?

Vanilla was 4 tiers as well if you count half tiers. AQ tier was only half a set and was fugly recolored quest greens. Wrath was also only 4 tiers if you count tier 9.5 as a full tier, which it wasn't really. Ruby sanctum wasn't a separate tier either. So all levels had 3 tiers.

Wrath had Naxx/Ulduar/ToC/ICC, that's 4 tiers since it was in separate patches, with separate item levels and gear sets.

For classic i was just going by tier 1-2-3 - i didn't raid in classic.
For TBC, they added sunwell but that was kinda lumped onto tier 6.
WOTLK had tier 7 (launch stuff), tier 8 (ulduar), tier 9 (new sets, TOTC) and tier 10 (ICC, Halion).

I think Sunwell counts as a separate raid than BT, it was several months after it and even though you still got t6, it dropped higher ilvl stuff. T6 in sunwell was in less important slots like wrists, boots etc so you could keep 4set and still have high item level in more important slots.

Highmaul is part of tier 17 with BRF - and WOTLK had four tiers :D

Yeah but i mean a raid that drops Tier gear is the Tier raid. Thats what i classify a "tier" as. Highmaul is a warm up and lore raid not the raid that mattered in the race for example.

Anyone else disappointed at the tier gear? Obviously its a work in progress but the main focal points ( helm and shoulders ) are mostly complete and lack something special.

Patch 6.2 Testing Duration
PTR duration is largely going to depend on what's being tested. With a new raid, a very large piece of outdoor content, quests, creatures, gear, itemization, etc. etc. as well as some new and complex systems, you can expect testing will take a number of weeks--potentially more accurately counted in months.
Oh good, they're not gonna do the 4-5 month long PTR test thing

I love some part of the Elite s1 Draenor pvp set for most classes. Really nice primal looking without being cheesy.
The Elite Hunter spaulers are really cool.
