It was ~150-500 ping in the world, ~40 ping in dungeons etc when i played this morning

Man I pulled out every trick in the book to stay online today. I managed to go to the gym, the store, and go for a run without getting logged off the server. Autorun to the rescue.

Low level instances also work. I had a mob scratch my back in stockades for 1.5 hours when i had to go do some shopping.

People are selfish dicks when it comes to things like this, the only thing you can do is follow them.

True, I can't really blame people for doing it. And if there isn't maintenance again tonight, I'll be doing it when I go to bed. If I can log in that is. ^^ If my option is waiting 5-8 hours before I can play every day or play immediately, I know which one I am picking.

I really can't decide which class I should play.
I have a level 90 Paladin and Shaman and I also have a level 87 Hunter and Priest... Levelling the Shaman really seemed like a chore for the past 4 bars or so, but I heard that the Paladin is a horridly boring healer right now.

I understand you but I don't plan to spend 6+ hours in a queue because I had to go hop to the store, sorry.

I've hit two five hour queues at ~9-11pm. I'm NOT going to hit a 5pm queue under any circumstances

I've done pretty much all I can today, hopefully tomorrow my friends will have hit 100 so we can grind heroics (rando queue is a real shitshow right now).
Protip: Don't get lvl 2 buildings until after lvl 100, because you need 2k resources. I spent like 900 on buildings that I'm regretting now

I actually highly recommend getting lumber mill level 2 even before 100. It speeds up your process of collecting garrison resources every day.
I upgraded 5 buildings to level 2 and just hit 100 today and only need 500 more garrison resources to get level 3 town hall. I don't feel like I am rushing as I still have not finished the main quest line in Nagrand so I think by the end i will have my 2k resources.

It doesn't really. There's a ton of small lumber nodes and you can easily max out your work orders and keep them maxed out. Being able to have 14 working at once doesn't make a difference since they go sequentially and take 4 hours each, so more than 6 doesn't get you any more daily than you would normally and you can get 7 at lvl 1 garrison.
That said, I do have a lvl 2 Lumber Mill <_<.
I'm at 1400 resources with a lvl 2 Alchemist, Enchanter, Lumber Mill, and Barracks. I've done all the questlines in all of the zones (except 1, but I was on the final part of it before I left the zone). I've also killed most of the rare mobs out there, so there's really no point in playing right now, just wait for the work orders.
tl;dr: I'd rather have lvl 3 Garrison for Salvage Yard (extra resources) and the vendors.
