In team games, this is somewhat mitigated by the fact that your teammatest could balance this out. But the reality is that most of the time as a new player, you will nevertheless still be the cause of your team losing. It just won't be that obvious as it is in 1v1. And while in 1v1 you only lose for yourself, in teamgames you are probably making your teammates losr too, potentially leading to an unenjoyable for at worst up to 7 other people. -Quite often, teammates in teamgames can be quite "demanding", so if it seems that you might not really know what you are doing, prepare to be yelled at or even insulted frequently. -Also if you are plaing team games, I found that there is a lot of greater variety in strategies than in 1v1, so while this means that a lot of different stuff can work, it also means that it's harder to get a grasp of the subtle, but nevertheless, essential details to many of the strategies. -Yes there are many hardcore players around, but imho there is still a steady influx of new players. I mean, once you are in the correct matchmaking bracket, it doesnt really matter you how many good players there are, as you wont play them anyway. It just might take some more games to get to this point, if there are relatively few new players. I think that (both on battle net and the user-created w3champions ladder), you will probably find opponents at your skill level after maybe 10 initial games it takes to calibrate your rating. Just force yourself past those games, and imho it should become a great fun game to play at any skill leve.

I think its far easier to learn playing 1v1 with people at your level (which 10 games is more than enough to get to usually), than to try 2v2.

Feel free to message me. The only build order that I can see on Liquipedia is this Undead Fiend BO. I would like to copy this and add the most common build orders for all races, and a landing page that links them all together to help new players. If not, I'll just copy this as the template and move things around. https://liquipedia.net/warcraft/Undead_Fiend_Build_Order#Basic_Build_Order Thanks A great idea, hopefully you can get the go-ahead there
