You can absorb hit with the Focus attack, then cancel it with a dash The health loss is grey and will come back if you don't get hit for a while | ||

When you use your focus attack you can take the damage for something, but it will heal back if you don't take an actual hit while it restores. That's the gray life you see on a character. | ||
