It's a sad day indeed when the media has to pile on the Memphis bandwagon.

It might be a tough series but I wouldn't be surprised if SA handles them.

Memphis will have to keep the scores low. If Memphis wins, the games will be close. It sounds a little ridiculous going through all the permutations of "they need to score more points than their opponent and not let their opponent score more points than them", but I think the Memphis offense is at 5th gear right now and they were beating the OKC headless chicken offense by 6.

Both the Grizz and Spurs play great defense. The biggest difference to me, other than the obvious coaching advantage the Spurs have and home court adv, is that the Spurs are better on offense. They have elite players in both the frontcourt and backcourt who can score at will basically.

I'm glad it's these two teams playing though. Either one can give the Heat a tough fight in the finals. I just hope the Pacers don't get swept or lose in 5. Make the Heat work and not get a week of rest while the WCF goes to 6 or 7.

Memphis beat SA a couple years ago in six games while being the 8th seed (SA was 1st). If memory serves, SA basically had no answer for Z-Bo. I think SA has improved since then, but I think Memphis has improved more. It could go either way though, and I'd love to see either of these teams beat the Heat in the finals. Heat look really strong, but either of these teams could give them trouble (especially if Wade is still hurt). While there isn't much 'Star Power' in this series, I like to see good fundamental basketball :-)

I think it's 55:45 assuming the Spurs bench shows up (unlike last year) coupled with home court and deep playoff experience. Splitter and Diaw need to keep doing what they were doing towards the end of the GS series. Minimising turnovers against Allen/Conley will be huge too as Memphis really need the easy points. Could well be several overtime games this series, their regular season games were really tight. Just glad there'll be a team I can root for in the finals either way.

Still crazy to think Jordan had a 48". Like besides all his achievements, he is still slightly underrated as an athlete. Little things like that make it hard to dispute he isn't the greatest.

WCF will need it because their series will certainly go longer than the ECF.

I hope Hill plays tonight. If he doesn't play I'm not sure the Pacers win. Hibbert will have to play better regardless if they want to win.

Haha, good point! I still thought they'd at least play with a bit of urgency. Right now it seems only Carmelo showed up - he is keeping the Knicks in this by himself, even though they're down 15 rebounds and 15 points in the paint already...
