I don't know... + Show Spoiler +the party had recently done lots of evil/selfish acts and he walked in to Banon, defenceless on the floor with Vincent beating him. Asking the crying girl in the corner what happened wasn't that out of character. I was more surprised that Banon didn't just leave with the ring during the battle and leave the party to die...

I did also think + Show Spoiler +it was weird he didn't just use the ring when everyone else was busy.

+ Show Spoiler +He has been traveling with abi and vincent for several months and have had to put trust in them several times in the past whereas banon was new to the party and had allready shown great disregard for the party's interest (slitting the slavegirls throat).
To me this is like doubting two of your best friends word because of the story of an acquaintance that has behaved deceitful in the past. I, and probably everyone I have ever known would not need a third party confirmation for the story.

I hope this next ep won't be like episode 18....=D

+ Show Spoiler +So, hypothetically, if banon wouldve gotten away with the whole thing... Would JP still need to make a new character, since he completed his characters mission/goal? Or if the wish fails, but he still manages to get away, how do you deal with such a situation as a DM? Do you all of the sudden have 2 parties?

I imagine the DM would use the story to drive them back together, but I have no idea.

+ Show Spoiler +DM discretion. I suppose they could of made Banon into an NPC-Villain to be killed later.

Most recent news is yes (itmeWeekly) so unless something unexpected has come up it should be on at 8pm EDT.

Can I just say how glad I am that this has been going on for 24 weeks consistently with no end in sight. I was watching live on day 1 and have been hooked ever since. I hope you guys are all still as into it as I am.

I think it would be hilarious if all of JP's characters introduce themselves to the party saying they're looking for the guy who just got killed and become enraged when they find out their predecessor is dead.

Yes! A dorf! Looking forward to see JP gettin killed.

I really like this Azril guy tbh.

I realize now, looking at that, that I put that JP face right on the boot which looks like the roots.

I seriously wonder how the party could even die at this point. They can roll really badly, but a TPK is like impossible with how powerful Bregor is. His character is so overpowered it's amazing.
I think Neal realized how strong the party is, specially now that they have a healer again, I mean, comon, they killed those Scorpion Men like they were nothing lol. And Vincent can double attack each round now, it's insane. Bregor is soon to have his own spells too.

A couple of bad/good rolls is honestly all it takes to wipe a party. The party grouped in a small space that fail a saving throw against a strong AOE spell, a big critical from a monster that forces a fortitude save vs death, or certain immunities/resistances on enemies that they don't adapt to.
Actually, hell, just 2 weeks ago they lost against all of those guards and they very likely could have died if the situation didn't play out as it did in the aftermath.
|
Um, I guess you missed the short bit Neal added at the end about the Manscorpion poison? Somebody could've easily died but the party rolled incredibly well for the whole encounter.
And how is Bregor overpowered? He has a lot of HP but his damage and +to hit sucks hard. 1d8+1 long bow shots? +5 to hit and straight 1d8 long sword damage? His AC is also nothing particularly impressive at 17. The spells are really not very useful as they're only first and second level spells and at level 9, he no longer has them.
Vincent has 2 attacks per round but he also has 30 something HP for a level 7 fighter. Plenty of stronger monsters can still drop him in a single turn.
Plenty of stuff could still wipe the floor with this party. It wasn't long ago that this party was on the verge of near death / failure every single fight.
What I'm wondering is what they're going to do with the amulet of cheetah speed. I think they don't realize that it's actually an incredibly powerful item in the right circumstances. It basically guarantees Abigael cannot lose any fight 1v1 against another similar speed humanoid. Because Neal doesn't award attacks of opportunity when moving within / leaving an enemy's threat range, it basically means that with +2 movement, Abigael can infinitely kite a melee fighter. She can move her full half-action movement, attack with another half action, and her opponent will have to use a full-action move to close distance. It'd be hilarious to see her challenge Vincent to a duel and slap him down.
