How do you decide which game to speedrun? I guess just a game tha tyou enjoy enough to sink that much time into? lol
imo yes, pretty much. Make sure you enjoy the beginning of the game, since you'll be playing it a lot. But the biggest thing is definitely to really really like the game to begin with.
Just found this little gem in the Twitch's 2013 report. It's got some pages on speedrunning (starting on page 28), and this little tidbit about AdamAK:
We expect even greater success from him once the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is released.
Yeaaah. Someone didn't quite do their homework there. :D
So yesterday and this morning Sockfolder broke SotN in a pretty crazy way. After you corrupt a save you can do a crazy sequence of steps to overwrite the music and get relics. I saw a few runners tweeting about it and saying it'll probably change routes for all (or at least most) of the categories.

So who knows, he may actually run it.
No, he most likely wont .. Pretty much no one in the #gta community is interested in speedrunning either gta4 or 5. Both games have stupid mechanics that make speedrunning them simply not fun. 5 actually has more of them. As for classic%, it's really long with lots of boring and tedious driving, same as San Andreas, and Adam (or myself, or many other gta runners) dislike SA precisely for that reason.
I don't know if I'm going to keep trying this just to get the same run with better boss luck. My execution here is basically everything I was aiming for, and trying to figure out a way I could get an SDA-quality local recording while also streaming isn't something I want to bother with (I tried dxtory to make a local recording but it slowed down the game so that's not acceptable) so I don't really have a lot of motivation to keep going right now.

someone probably forgot the kappa there
I was watching FieryBlizzard two or three? days ago. And AdamAK was in chat and said he was offered some nice amount of money (from Twitch) to speed run GTA5. So, yeah . Hopefully it's a one time only thing and not a consistent thing. Would prefer to watch him running a game he wants to run.
