Speaking of MAL, 5 pos. penalty for jump start and 5 pos. penalty for collision makes up for a nice 10 place grid drop in Monza for him.

Might not be a bad idea to reach out to Renault and ask for a driver who is tied to them, someone like Baguette. Edit: Ok scrap it, Baguette shouldn't have a Superlicense anymore. There's more good drivers in Renault's grasp tho. Frijns or Bird would surely get a super license. Or Bianchi, who is driving circles around anyone since years.

Grosjean Slapped With A One-Race Ban Romain Grosjean will have to watch the Italian GP from the sidelines after he was hit with a ban and a fine for causing the first-lap carnage in Belgium. Having started eighth on the grid, the Lotus driver put the squeeze on Lewis Hamilton's McLaren on the approach for La Source and that trigged a major pile-up on the first corner. Both Grosjean and Hamilton were forced to retire along with Sergio Perez of Sauber and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, who was lucky to escape serious injury after the airborne Lotus went flying just a few inches past his head. Asked after the incident who was to blame for the accident, Grosjean said: "I do not know if I moved over too quickly." He added: "I have not seen the image, but the main thing is we are all okay." However, the race stewards found that he was responsible and dished out a race ban as well as a 50,000 euro fine. "Extremely serious breach of the regulations which had the potential to cause injury to others," a statement read. "It eliminated leading championship contenders from the race. The stewards note the team conceded the action of the driver was an extremely serious mistake and an error of judgement. Neither the team nor the driver made any submission in mitigation of penalty." Although Grosjean will miss the Italian GP, Lotus can run another driver with reserve and test driver Jerome D'Ambrossio likely to take his place. Meanwhile, Pastor Maldonado will drop 10 places on the grid at Monza next weekend after being hit with two five-place penalties for separate incidents. The first one was for his jump start when the lights went out and the second was for causing an accident with Timo Glock at Turn 1. People might think its abit of a shame to give him the one race ban, but remember he has caused incidents all season long at the first straight/ corner all year.

Such an annoyance in terms of watching though, even though it was a good race withouth Alonso and Lewis pushing im pretty sure we didn't get to see the race we could have got >.< Oh wow a 1 match ban? Well no offense but mr Maldanado deserves a 2 race ban for his fault start and his continous disciplinary proceedings against him. FFS i knew it was a false start before they mentioned it haha.

What a race for Vettel! Indeed, will be interesting to see Monza and if Vettel was just quick cuz Jenson wasn't pushing his car to the limits or if Vettel genuinely was super quick out there.

I imagine the Ferrari's, McLarens and Merc's to be up there. But why the hell is Maldonado allowed to race in F1, he has already been given 9 penalties in 12 races I read on F1 Fanatic and 7 of those where for casuing incidents...

What defines something that is worthy of a ban? Serious injury? Possibility of serious injury? Malice? Foolishness? The rules seem to have changed recently (last decade)to be more strict but I think fans or even drivers do not know where they stand. Here is the most dangerous piece of driving I can remember, no penalty or even mention of it. Trulli, of all people. + Show Spoiler +
