And players defiantly abuse it...its like 40% of Paul Pierce's offense.
I would be fine with ejection plus a fine, it's not a basketball skill, so it has nothing to on the court!
Now I'm out for 2011! Happy new year, I wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful evening! See you in 2012<3

If you guys were paying attention to non lockout changes during the lockout, they changed the rules so that creating contact and then hoisting up shots is no longer a shooting foul (and I posted this).
Second, the league has tried to do something about flopping one or two postseasons ago, but they couldn't figure out a good system to punish it come the regular season. So they let it go.

Chris Paul vs Derrick Rose last night was one hell of a game. CP3 had the upper hand (if counting defense and playmaking) and then Rose just erupted in the 4th quarter with some big shots and crazy passes.
Kind of feel bad for the Clippers fan base, because as good as they are offensively there were some bad defensive mistakes. Absolutely HORRIBLE. There were a couple of possessions where Rose would be on the other side of the court, and Mo Williams or Caron Butler would be sagging TOWARDS him (wtf?) and Rose would make a cross court pass to an open Deng or Hamilton for a bomb.
Blake Griffin's defense is absolutely abysmal. Talented offensively, but he's got work to do defensively. Chris Paul's defense on Rose was solid at points, Rose's defense on Paul left a lot to be desired but he never got completely lost on any plays.
The Bulls depth was huge this game. Clippers didn't even rest Blake and CP3 at some points which is kind of weird, considering the Clippers have Foye and Williams to back up CP3. Noah and Boozer still play somewhat weird together defensively but that could have been more so limited ability to stop Blake anywhere near the basket.
Luol Deng is still underrated, Rip looked MUCH better this game but I think it had a lot to do with the Clippers' defense. With no Chauncey Billups or Eric Gordon (lol) the lack of a secondary creator on offense killed LA when CP3 had to cool off.

I believe the rule is now that you are no longer to go sideways to create contact, but you are still allowed to go forwards. So if you get them in the air coming at you, you can still get the call, but if they are beside you and you jump sideways into them the refs won't call it.

Watching Denver vs LA, and I kind of want LA to win because Al Harrington is so unsightly on offense. Don't even think I saw him pass the ball back once yet.
|
Wow what an ending so far. Denver got some WIDE open 3s and Gallo just choked. Didn't even hit backboard on one of those shots.
Ty Lawson missed 2 Free Throws, Nene missed a dunk, Al Harrington playing defense. So many bad moments for Denver.

CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKE!

DANILO WHY YOU NO DUNK BALL?

Pretty crazy game with everyone choking, hahaha.

Even a non-shooting foul is worth quite a bit.

poor danilo, what a miss.
make-or-break year for bynum, let's see if he can repeat tonight's effort consistently. I don't think he can get as many points but let's see in everything else.

Creating contact after the shot etc =/= flopping?! Or have am I missing something here?

Raptor are playing playoff quality basketball. Too bad my man, Boy Bay Jared Bayless is out with a sprained ankle. We win if we pound the rock and play tough defense. Dwayne Casey for president 2012

Tim Duncan having the fewest errors makes sense...but then we get 3 Miami Heat in a row including guys who I was not aware could still move. Suspicious.

It makes sense - Eddie House has a low # of possessions. The author should have put only 1,000+ possession defensive players on it though.

Lol, Blake never rotates. I'm surprised he's only missed 2(?) assignments. He guards the rim okayish but his help defense is really crappy. I guess his man defense is atrocious too, according to this site.

Only Bryant and Wade had 1000+ and it looks like the stats are per 100 possessions.
