damn i can't believe there are still so many straight up lebron haters in here.
imagine if he took the shot and happened to miss, you would still be bitching about a poor shot selection and how he can't come up with points in key moments. it's so easy to say "damn he should've just taken it himself" AFTER the fact that it happened. Please, for the love of god, stop talking like you know how to make the right decision from a spectating perspective - AFTER the fact (did i emphasize "AFTER" enough?)
as someone mentioned above, lebron had "17 points (8-9 FGs), 5 rebounds 1 assist, 1 block in the forth quarter." he had an amazing 4th quarter, and it was specifically that which even kept the heats in the game til the final buzzer.

It's not about being a LeBron hater. You could say the last play is on the whole team. But as a leader of that team he has to shoulder more responsibility.
My simple point is/was: in any given offensive set, a team's trying to get the highest % shot they can possible as it gives them the optimal chance to score. If the best they can do is spot up a guy who's shooting 20% from 15 feet for the year, then it's a low percentage play that most likely isn't going to work.
LeBron ultimately had the ball in his hands at the end and has to make a judgement call with what to do. I think he got it wrong on this occasion. Does that really make me a hater? I'm not pretending to know what play Spo called, but they HAD to know there was a good chance LeBron would be doubled on any last shot. If he doesn't want to take it and feels the need to dish off, he's got to find a better shooter, or the Heat need to get a better shooter than Haslem at the elbow.
Breakdowns all-round on that final play, but LeBron wasn't faultless in that situation.
And if you ask me, that final play was designed for a LeBron shot and Haslem was on the elbow to crash the boards on a potential miss. That's how it looked to me. I just can't imagine any play, with the game on the line, where your number two option is a guy who's shooting 20% from 15 feet for the year.
The thing that I found really stupid is they didn't even look to get Wade involved at all in the last play. He basically sets an off-ball screen for LeBron and then heads away from the ball. They could have just as easily used him in Haslem's role.

exactly. doesnt matter if its the correct play stop using that for an excuse. Lebron is a choke artist and we all know this he will never be great until he overcomes this. I want him to because he is amazing, he just doesnt want to make game winners.
Remember when dwayne hit that game winner against charlotte when lebron was like 30+ points and dwayne was like 5/16? The same people talking here talked then?

They're an interesting team the Thunder. They have two amazing scorers, but not a lot of ball movement when Harden isn't on the floor. You could make a case for them not really needing to move the ball so much with KD and Westbrook since they're both such good scorers.
I think they'd still be pretty good if Westbrook went down as Harden is a pretty handy replacement. But if KD were to go down, they'd be screwed.
Anyone else hate how much the celtics flop? They are the best acting team in the league. The first foul on Lin was clearly a charge (he was outside the ring), but pierce gets the block call. Then lin back-pedals out of the way and Rondo gets the block. HMM. Anyway, I can't stand the celtics.
