ETA: The Jazz leave Haslem open because the other option is Josh Howard or CJ Miles defending Lebron 1 on 1 going to the basket. If he passes THAT shot up then you have a case. But you can't seriously say that Lebron James not shooting over 2 people means he messed up. This can't actually be a serious point. Really?! Haslem is shooting at like 20% this year from 10-15 feet. He's making that shot 1-5 times this year and you want him shooting it with the game on the line? Jazz played the %s correct and go the reward. If they're going to run that play, put in someone who can shoot like Battier in that spot? Maybe Spo called that play, but whatever--it was incorrect. You don't want a guy shooting 20% from that spot to take the final shot. Madness!

Although I do wonder if they would have praised his "play making abilities" had Haslem made the shot. I think you could have lived with that play if it was Miller, Chalmers or even Battier taking the shot, but I'd rather see LeBron take a long contested two than dump off the Haslem there. He didn't screw up, he found a mid-range shooter with an open mid-range shot. And sure, in a loss and so forth stats don't matter, but if he hadn't had those stats and that 4th quarter prior to the last 4,2 seconds they Heat would've been long gone by that time..

Lebron James shooting a contested shot vs 2 defenders vs Udonis Haslem shooting a wide open 15 footer. Are you seriously arguing that Lebron is taking a higher percentage shot? Seriously? I wonder if it wasn't Lebron James but Magic Johnson in that situation would this even be a discussion.

I'd wager 90%+ of his shots from 15feet are WIDE OPEN this year. Whoever was responsible, it was a poor play to have Haslem take that shot. Lebron was shooting at 66% tonight. I'd much rather him take that shot at the end.

If they put someone like Battier, Chalmer, Norris in that spot instead of Haslem, you could live with them missing the shot. But when you put a guy in a spot to win a game who's shooting 20% from there for the year, what do you expect to happen?
