Agreed, the cinematic just seems random and then you suddenly see the Panda appear and was a war between 2 factions are now fighting along side. TBC cinematic is the best one imo. Thumbs up for the art and the fluidity of the cinematic as a whole, but I wasn't impressed with the theme. It certainly wasn't befitting of a WoW cinematic that was following in the footsteps of the TBC and WotLK ones. | ||

I understand that Blizzard wanted to show how cool the Pandaren are, as they are the major draw of this expansion, but that's usually a bad way to go about things and it definitely shows here. More respect should have been given to the Human and Orc fighting prowess and they shouldn't have gone out of their way to shoe-in humor that only toddlers would bother to laugh at. But what do I know? I haven't played WoW in 6 years. | ||

Care to elaborate? All the hardcore and mediumcore gamers left ages ago. The only people I know still playing are girls and supercasuals (no offense). The Rise of the Lich King was an amazing story arc. WotLK actually felt like saving the world from an evil zombie apocalypse army. Cataclysm did a terrible job of painting the antagonist- who cares about Deathwing? MoP is silly KungFu pandas. As far as I can tell from the website, it appears the only conflict is a dash for resources by the Alliance and Horde for the new island. Yawn. Who's the antagonist? What's the conflict? Who are the heroes? Why does the world care about Pandas at all? | ||

Unfortunately the "story" saddens me.. slapstick comedy routine? Blizzard insisted when they announced Mists that it would not be a joke.. but then they deliver this. Compare this to the WoTLK cinematic.. Sadly - I'll still end up buying it. | ||
