I've been deathmatching with the SG for the sake of science, and I can't really say I saw a difference in accuracy compared to the AK (except when scoping in, but the usefulness of a scoped in rifle in actual competitive games is questionable). I may have hit a few really long range headshots that I wouldn't have hit with the AK, but it's hard to say, and overall I felt way less at ease with the weapon (obviously, as I pretty much never used it before). I stand on the point that it's way harder to control the spray though, having to make a diagonal movement on a static target is okay, but having to adjust it on a moving one is really hard.
In the end, maybe it's underrated, but the AK is already so strong that justifying the extra 300 bucks on most of the rounds is pretty hard in my opinion, unless you know you'll engage at really long range (cbble), but even then you will probably lose to awps.

Some days ago I was deranking while dropping 30+ kills and sometimes 40 because I kept getting matched up either against very obvious cheaters, or with leavers and flammers. Dropped down to mg2, but I kept playing and im finally back to DMG after a 6-7game winning streak from MGE and a lot of 30+ kills games.

Soloqueuing can be very frustrating.

Ranking up or down is mostly down to winning streak / losing streak. If you get a lucky winning streak, even if you are doing terrible in the games you'll rank up, and if you get an unlucky losing streak while carrying you'll derank.

I know that well because although I am probably an average DMG player, I ranked up to LEM on the back of a 15+ winning streak when they released new maps with operation breakout and no one knew how to play them. I also deranked as low as mg2 when I kept losing to cheaters / leavers.

In the end you'll get the rank you deserve if you play a lot but there will be fluctuations in the short term, especially since your score doesnt influence the ranking system much (it does a little tho).

hes a dude from a big ts server all my mates play on and iv played with in in loads of games (mainly lol tho sometimes minecraft and other stuff too) so i have no idea hed be hacking XD
he wasnt particularly good , couldnt rifler or pistol but decent with an awp

never came across as suspicious tho
so its not like i was getting carried

(ie bs shots or wierd callouts)

The reaction time and hand-eye coordination/mouse control required for this game is insane. I started playing about a week ago (holidays ftw) and am silver 1 + am so depressed to see how much better even the higher ranks of silver are. I'm not used to entering a game at the bottom end D:

I used to think that silver 1 didn't even existed

I started at silver 4, and at 30~ wins, went to silver master elite and now i'm back to silver elite/master (i don't remember the name, it is the silver with the star). Comp is fun, but without at least 2 friends is so painful, I prefer to play some casual or deathmatch.
