E-Sports is competitive video gaming with a spectator fan base. Do not take the word "Sports" literally.

Hi everyone

I am seriously considering getting CS GO.

I would really love to be able to have a schedule of all the competitions. I know for Starcraft 2 we have a beautiful webpage dedicated for that:

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Premier_Tournaments

That is so easy to read, so user friendly and so informative all at the same time.

League of Legends has it.
SC2 has it.

But the equivalent of that for CS GO. Does it exist?

EDIT:I only know 27-30 November, very soon from now, we have Dreamhack winter and it has SC2 and CS GO so thats great. but other than that I have no idea of any upcoming CS GO tournaments.

Quit after reaching doubleAK and seeing too many hackers, including obvious ones reported from replay and not banned.

Situation any better these days?

Kind of, there'll always be fishy people in the mid ranks, either smurfs or actual hackers :/

I've now gone a bit inactive due to some health stuff, but I played roughly double AK on EU and it didn't feel bad at all in terms of cheating. Maybe once in 20 games there was something that felt suspicious enough to make me check the demo. Obviously there was something a bit sketchy going on here and there, but rarely there was anything blatant enough to really get bothersome.

In general I was more bothered about all the toxicity and lack of teamwork in my own team than someone actually cheating.

yes but no.
First one if fishy, but on every mouse move you WILL have a 1/10000th chance it lands on a head somewhere. second one... every hs through a wall will look like that. If its every time, every match ok, but once isnt fishy enough.... remember that guy played hundreds of matches...

TL;DR from video, no evidence the community brings up short of catching a person red handed, is going to get valve to VAC ban them.

This entire flusha witch hunt is fuelled purely from the recent bans on Titan/Epsilon. If those never happened, this would've just been considered sick play from him.

If you watch any DMG/LE+ level replay with x-ray on, it's going to look fishy because people already know to preaim common areas. The first gif can be purely coincidental by him running out of mousepad space trying to do a 180. As for the second one, playing maps more than enough times, you should already have a feel of how the map should look like on the other side of the wall.

Well the same guy that called out sF and KQLY said that flusha was using the same hack

Even if its not true and flusha or whatever player isnt hacking, this is already getting out of hands

EVERY player will be accused for something

Valve should releasw a statement of the current situation, its not only the pro scene but the MM too

I thought that list of players hacking was confirmed fake by even the guy itself (it was a photo of a FB message to begin with).

Either way, if we are to believe this guy : http://www.hltv.org/blog/8956-the-truth-about-the-coder-me-and-the-infamous-baking-bread-cheat it could explain a lot. He says he threw in names of other random pros to increase the attention to his posts on hltv.

People are now looking through all of flushas demos and those gifs are best that's out there? There's absolutely nothing going on in those gifs... watch through your demos and you will be aiming at people through the wall if you play enough.

I think the second one is slightly curious because the damage he does is almost negligible. It doesn't seem to be a proper wallbanging spot. It's very much possible that he got the wall penetration properties a bit wrong and was just fishing for some extremely lucky low HP kill (plenty of targets for that), but I don't think the play can be considered particularly smart unless he actually has some very precise information on the enemies.

flusha does play with very low sensitivity (400 dpi & 1.6 in game sens) so it is no surprise he has those moments where his aim is lingering at a weird spot because he is lifting his mouse to move it back to the center of the mousepad

sometimes his crosshair will happen be on an enemy through a wall when he does that, doesn't mean shit

nah people haven't come to their senses, if flusha has a single bad game at dreamhack the pitchforking will be worse than it has been yet

on the other hand if he manages to shoot someone through smoke/wall or happens to track someone with his crosshair through a wall.. man if i were flusha i would be scared to even spam smokes because what if i actually get a kill?

A very good thread on the topic.

The point I like the most about it and the one that made me doubt these hackusations from the start is the fact that these LAN cheats are supposed to induce very slight corrections to the aim to avoid being detected by people looking at your screen. Also, there is no way an expensive private cheat would track through walls.

Also, when you look at the d2 gif in 128tick http://gfycat.com/ShabbyShockingGermanshepherd it becomes quite obvious that he ran out of mousepad space, probably hit his keyboard and shot by mistake, reset his mouse by lifting and continued.

Lurpiss said in an HLTV blog the problem comes from the admins of LANs too, he says that nowadays its super easy to get a USB, download a config, etc... theres not a lot of supervision over what players do with LAN PCs, back in the day everything was almost impossible to do so

Yeah... It's funny to think the community could have decided to latch onto just about any good pro and declare him a hacker. Go through Get_Right's replays with X-ray on and I'll guarantee you'll see some weird crap. Make 30 second clips out of it and people will flip out.

Can't wait for this whole thing to blow over. Hopefully we'll get some more transparency from the authorities. A statement from Valve would be quite great.

I think if it turns out flusha does hack (which I don't really believe), people will get the wrong idea of what hacking is, and maybe people will be blamed for hacking more often because they'll see someone spam a weird thing or whatever, or they'll see someone happen to aim at a head through walls.
