that being said the betting system as well - it's not even an official valve thing, is it?

dig took 8 rounds in 2 maps, ibp took over 20 so even if dig beats them twice, they have to do it by a high margin this system makes vp vs c9 more tense in this case imo e: these clutches :8

I bet $8 on Dig for both matches and somehow came out ahead with -$8 and +$15 overall on their matches despite them getting knocked out of the tourney lol. LOL too funny. Much faith in NA teams brings tears of joy to my eyes. Happy for you but that's still super retarded. All due to the tourney format and betting platform not being on the same page of what constitutes a "win".

So if one team wins the first map 16-0 they only have to win one round on the second map because then, the best result the loser from the first map can hope to achieve is 16-17. And well, the tourney management cannot be faulted for the betting thing. It's seperate. It's the task for the betting organisers to inform themselves about the system. That being said, I think this system is so dumb for a game like CS, where the map balance is pretty much achieved by letting both teams play both sides. As you saw in the iBP vs dig match, the kniferound for the second match pretty much decided the result which is borderline ridiculous.

don't like 16k as you can buy every round with freedom. i feel 10k is the perfect amount for overtime as it makes the first round extremely important. are there tournaments that still use mr3 10k?
