I've been doing casual, DM, HS-only DM and DM vs bots that only use knifes. Wondering what other people do to get better at aim (except mass queue)?

![]() I think sticking with my current sensitivity is helping a lot. I changed mouse (I had a very fingertip oriented one that sucked for FPS, so I bought a zowie FK1), struggled a bit until I got a sens I was confortable with, and then trained quite a lot on the aforementioned things. The muscle memory is starting to really show, I'm getting more and more nice flickshots. I think warming up to the same routine with consistent settings before each MM session would really helped anybody looking to improve his aim.

I've also been playing like shit up till recently. Wasn't really hitting any of my shots on the CT side and even my AK play was just doing really poorly. I'm honestly kind of surprised I haven't lost my 43% hs percentage yet.

![]() But I'm probably gonna stop solo queuing. I don't think I'm going to improve just playing by myself anymore at this point. Need to just steadily work up my reactions/aim and then probably will need to find people to stack with. @__@

For some reason even though I was GN4, I've been almost exclusively queuing up with MG2s, a few MGEs here and there, and even ran into a badge at one point. There have been a few games since I got deranked where I ran into a game that was all AKs, but after that it's just been bizarre where I'd be in the middle (frags-wise) of a bunch of AKs with wreaths. Any explanation as to why? o_O I've also been playing like shit up till recently. Wasn't really hitting any of my shots on the CT side and even my AK play was just doing really poorly. I played a match a few weeks ago on a team with all SEM and below and the other team was like, GN4.

I played the original cs for nearly 10 years straight. I was into csgo for a bit when it came out but it needed a lot of work still. Its amazing what Valve has accomplished. Even regular online leagues are reaching 50,60,70k viewers on twitch on a regular basis. As someone who has been playing sc2 nonstop basically since release, I think this goes to show just how badly Blizzard is blowing things in the world of esports. Valve is getting so rich off of micro transactions and providing new content for their existing games that they can do things like throw massive amounts of money at prizepools to make the competitive aspect of their games explode and its just a drop int he bucket of their total revenue from the game. FPS IS BACK BABY.

I've gotten kinda decent at countering the spray patterns to the AK and M4, enough so that in DM I can usually come away with like a 2:1 kdr or so. If my cursor isn't lined up right when I start shooting, though, I usually stop spraying after about 10 rounds so that I can line it up properly, then start firing again. Obviously if you miss your first few shots it's never ideal, but is it better to keep spraying or take it in 5-10 round bursts?

FPS IS BACK BABY. I completely agree. I was one of the first waves for the CS:GO beta and invited a friend with my invite and we both agreed the game was total garbage. Like I couldn't believe how bad it was lol. Valve really listened to the community to enhance their game and it seems like it's constantly improving. I don't play much nowadays but every time I log in it seems like there's a new feature and the game just seems better. Valve is just amazing at what they do.
