C9 vs NiP series was good
If i remember correctly so was the Fnatic vs Na'vi series.
Also i think it was the C9 vs Dignitas game in the group stages that had a bonkers comeback? Yeah it was, on mirage, fucking great game.
Na'vi vs Copenhagen wolves in group stages on D2 too!
(Ofc watch the finals.)
WATCH IT ALLLLLL

All c9 games were pretty top quality and epic comebacks in group stages

Where are VoDs? I assumed they'd be on steam main page

lol...ended up with 74PTS in the pick'em challenge. Picked Fnatic over NiP and made Lounge bets on NiP so that I would at least get something regardless of the result...Big mistake as my original pick before the semi-finals was NiP to be champion. Oh well, no regrets.

Does your bet have to have the value of at least 1 or can it be lover? you can bet with a skin worth .01 but if you are betting that low there is a pretty good chance you won't win anything. Yeah figured as much. Bet last night on skdc (or some similar weird name) and for the value of 0.13 i got return in value of 0.16 XD time to get fat

Watch LDLC v VP, last round of D2 (map1), KQLY with an IMPOSSIBLE shot to win the map

so happy for NiP and csgo getting the hype it diserves
we were watching some of the final yesterday at our local barcraft (was supposed to be a League event but whatever^^). hopefully i can bring some people together for a dedicated csgo barcraft-ish event soon.

anyone have info on how long it takes for recoil to reset?
read somewhere that it takes 0.55 seconds, but no idea if that is true or not
|
Yeah I read it's 0.55 too instead of 0.45 on 1.6. You can try it yourself with weapon_debug_spreadshow 1 (on a sv_cheats 1 offline server) or cl_crosshairstyle 2 to get a feeling

Sooo, today I had the chance to play a match with 3kliksphilip, a CSGO youtuber that I respect a lot. Cool experience to be playing with someone you've been following on Youtube a lot. Here's how it went:
Nothing overly special, I start out _really_ bad and then it starts going a little bit better. Funny fail in the second round (I drop the bomb to peek and then somehow pick it up again without noticing and die).
Just posting this here because I believe there's a couple other people here on TL.net who enjoy his content so I thought this was kinda cool. On the offchance that somebody is actually watching more than a round or two, if you have some feedback/tips for me to improve as a Gold Nova player, please let me know. I'm aware of AIM AIM AIM but maybe there's some other things I could also improve on, not sure. If you do watch and give tips, please don't just judge the first couple of rounds, I was shaky from being a bit star-struck I guess, it does get better towards the end haha.

Just watched a couple of rounds around mid to end : you look nearly afraid. I don't know what your amount of stress was knowing the opponents were probably better, but if you can cool your head and play your game "as usual" it should be a bit better. When you try to play differently than usual, your performance suffers. I get that when playing against LEMs cause I know I'm dead if I show my head, so I peek a lot less, a few centimeters, and thus miss my shots a lot more.
Try to have your body covered at least a bit when you are defending somewhere, if possible. B comes to mind, when you look tunnel, you look completely exposed. I guess you didn't want to leave yourself open to door or window, but you can trust your mates and the smokes, for example being behind the first crate on the ledge. Window can't see you, your body is hidden, you're open to door but there were smokes there (keep in mind I only watched here and there). Another example, your CT gun round spot : completely in the open and no kevlar. If 2 people are there, you're dead 100%. When advancing, peeking angles do not mean running and moving your mouse to see the angle on your screen, it means actually having your crosshair in the corner where the opponent might be. And if you have the time, stopping to get a quick peek back and forth and disturb the opponent's aim (while you can shoot accurately in the short moment you don't move). Sorry I can't watch everything, no time ;-/

<rant> Sometimes when I play this game I get flashbacks from CS:S with IRC scrims getting that one team that claims they are mid skill and then proceed to utterly blat you around the map for the next 12 rounds.
I don't know if its just me but I play at Gold Nova 3 and out of 3 games tonight I've ran into 2 very obvious smurf accounts. It makes the game an exercise in frustration for me. </rant>
Other than that I managed to get a statrack koi nova :3 I swear somehow the skins are keeping me playing this game, even more so with the missions they've added for breakout.

I mean gold nova 3 is absolutely not "mid skill" for irc-scrim level teams its definitely deep dumpsters for that But yeah smurfs can be somewhat annoying i guess. They rank up hella fast if u abuse them.

Personally my team was also guilty of doing that Good times.

God's it's been about 7 years since then, I feel old now I swear I was alright at source but just can't seem to get it back.

My Rank is insanely unstable recently within the past 30 games I have been double ak and DMG more than 10 times seems like every 3 wins I got to dmg and every 3 losses I drop back down it's a never ending cycle!! doesn't matter the order.
So confused and tired lol

I think the last major (katowice) had something like 250k viewers if i remember correctly? Medium lan events might get a little more than 100k and online cups maybe 50k depending on the days and tournament. Oh, you're talking about viewers lol. I was talking about the number of people playing it on steam. I don't remember the viewership numbers as I haven't caught every CSGO tournament this year. Hitting like 400k they said combined though is really insane. Just seems to be growing so much both in players and spectators.
Makes you wonder what could've been if Valve had given a shit about supporting / promoting 1.6
</sour grapes>

I prefer csgo over 1.6 anyway.
