On the counter-strike.net dev blog they said whoever got the beta key from the survey he would also get a key for gifting to a friend

I'll gift you (EDGE, Anomaly, Osmos and World of Goo bundle steam keys + the games can be played on android phones) if you gift me that beta key:D I really really want it:D

Bug testing I'd assume, they want feedback on the changes too so they're making it only one map every week or so.
