We left with a train that left 8:00 and was there at 10:00. We arrived to the event quite early, and didnt really have to stand in a line at all. Got to setup quite early, check places, dm, so on. The tournament was set to start at 17:00. 30 minutes before that, the starting time went to 18:00. Sure, no biggie. Well when the tournament started it was found out that groups A-H were to be started at 18:00, and groups I-P were to be played 22:00 forwards. Well, obviously with our luck we were in Group M with 2 other teams. First game was vs Pimeet, on inferno. We knew it was gonna be a rough game, so we went super hard into it. We got the CT-half 8-7, as we lost a couple of quite easy rounds. We were still quite confident in our T-side, so we just went with our own game. That worked, and with tons of nailbiting rounds we managed to win the game 16-8. (as a plus, heres the moment of our win) Next we played on Cache, vs a team that we shouldve beaten quite easily. We were a bit overconfident and went up only 9-6 on CT. We lost the pistol and started choking like shit. At 9-13 Kosari did a sick 1v4, which brought us back into the game. We went to 13-13, only to lose an antieco and go down 13-15. We won one more round, but lost the game 14-16. After the last game of the group was played, we still won the group by round difference. Next morning we started at 12:00 and we got a quite good start to the game. The game was nothing special, and we didnt really have a challenge, so we rekt them 16-1. (again video of the winning moment) In the ro16 we lost to the eventual 2nd place team of the tournament, 2-16 on mirage. We played the midrounds superbad and lost like 7 afterplants on our T-side. Shit happens, was quite fun.

During the "off season", alot of worse players have been signed in North America. Either Liquid would have to fly in another player from EU (and other then s1mple, there are no more "I have been banned for 2 years and nobody wants to play with me in my region" player) or buy out someone very strong in NA. And thats very expensive, when you see what "talents" get decent contracts at the moment in North America. I know that Adren has no place in a Top NA team, but who to buy in? Random FPL player like Stewie2k? That doesnt work for C9 better then Adren for Liquid at the moment. I thought about Pronax, but after he didnt get picked up by C9, I dont see him getting picked up by TL. I dont know where to get a top player for TL at the moment.

Without a proper off season aka team building, practice, strategy talk etc. Since s1mple joined the team house, he did stream every day ... guess what there was no practice?! S1mple for example was busy streaming and browsing reddit/twitter/hltv, all Saturday until 4-5 am. From now one someone at Liquid needs to force a strict practice regime individually and team wise.

I thought C9 would be doing worse without Sean Gares to be honest but they seem about the same level. Top 2 NA, excluding LG and TS.

To be fair, they got trashed by a team that was put together hardly 2 months ago aswell and no one really did anything in the holiday season. So that excuse is a bit.. ehh. Its not like the other 4 havent been playing together. The +1 carrying a team that has been playing together is getting old and it has barely even started.

the thing is that the communication was never good in the first place, its like saying Adren needs to stay cause he is an IGL. What good has his IGLing been? Edit: Appearently S1mple is no longer AWPing, Adren is now back on the AWP FeelsBadman.

If it's about Tempo Storm, I wouldn't consider that a trashing, and Tempo is by no mean a bad team... Also, going 11-16, 13-16 against LG isn't a bad thing. Then, they still need to get a real footing together and figure things out....

Also, I rather Adren just stand the fuck back and learn to support. s1mple with AWP can win rounds if not matches. The $4750 decoy joke isn't even out of place here. It would be much better to have a $2700 decoy.

Then, they still need to get a real footing together and figure things out.... I didnt say Tempo Storm was a bad team. I'm just saying the "lack of practice" argument doesnt really fly. "Trash". "lost", "beaten by". The semantics are irrelevant, and thats not really the part you need to address when providing a counter. The 16-13 game against LG was a complete throw and a very good example if you want to see what they are lacking. . They had LG dead to rights with a broken economy looming at 13--11 and a 4 or 5 v 2 then 4 people walked into Cold at Optimus with 2 lining up, when they knew where he was. Had flashes and mollys to roast him out and instead just went full MM. You dont do that with the best fragger this side of the atlantic. Its things like that which they have a problem with, and you cant really coach that. The players need to figure out. And I saw both series on GOTV and watching Adrens POV is painful. Whiffing back stabs and getting 180 face planted once.. ok happens. But multiple times. Hes just not there for whatever reason. Its not something you cant fix, but it needs fixing for sure. His frag power is to weak for whatever IGL he provides which isnt much. I dont mean to go all ptbl but its been a while now so you can start questioning a bit.

I just don't understand anymore. Can't say he is doing very good http://www.hltv.org/?pageid=246&playerid=7433. They really need to find another igl, but then again, there are almost none (that are not banned) in NA.
