Mancini recently came out in an interview and talked about how players were no longer as 'mentally strong' as they were before, and everyone took that to mean that he was referring to Balotelli. Personally, I find Balotelli and his antics very funny. His flair and his propensity for getting into incredibly stupid situations is highly entertaining. He seems to be the type of player who you love to watch, but wouldn't want on your team.

I only wish Arsenal were making headway, but I can't help feeling they're taking numerous steps back. Losing Nasri is bad without replacing him - losing Cesc is a near-mortal blow. And he was undersold, there really is no getting away from that. Consistently one of the top passers and a player with the ability to lift the rest of his team, Arsenal need to replace him. But how, selling him for 35mil? Name a player who is as good, at the top of the top teams, who will be available for that price? Apparently Mata, who I would consider on par with Nasri, is worth 35mil? How much would Sneijder, or Ganso be worth? And does anyone ehre even see Arsenal ever competing for them? Sad thing is, even with the huge amount of money at their disposal I see Spurs making more interesting noises in the market. Arsenal refuse to compete with the top teams, and are dropping away. Without a couple of genuine world class signings, Arsenal will struggle for fourth this year ![]()

Speaking about tottenham, they need to rid some of their bad players soon and get some decent striking partner for VDV soon.

As for the EPL. I hope Chelsea can mount a serious title challenge as well as CL challenge. Their lack of pace and a solid creative midfielder is worrying though.

Even Valdez plays as a midfielder sometimes, go watch the second leg of the Champions League Semi-Final vs Inter in 10 ![]()

They've been trying to get a good striker for ages now. Redknapp took a jaunt through Spain during the middle of last season looking for strikers. Unfortunately, none were interested in joining Spurs. Redknapp approached (if I recall correctly) Aguero, Forlan, Rossi, and Llorente - but no one wanted to join.
