But that was a really STUPID move by Kompany to jump in with 2 feet. No need to do that at all.

I never tire of watching him play. You rarely come across the complete footballer, but Scholes is as close to it as you can get. “One of my regrets is that the opportunity to play alongside him never presented itself during my career.” Think I'm going to take his opinion over some kid who most likely started supporting city around the same time they started buying whoever they wanted with their botomless pit of money.

Zidane is pretty dumb if he really thinks that, Scholes is ok don't get me wrong but there is a reason why England have never won anything, they have never embraced a genius like a Zidane, England had one in Le Tessier but picked players like scholes over him and won nothing, anyone can sit in the middle of the park and play 5 yard passes all day in the united team and win trophies, as for the City comment, I don't support City and as for the money thing lol, United and every successful team have always "bought" their team/success it is just the way football is get over it united fanboy

Not only is he unmatched in passing skills, but he also has one of the best right foots in the world when it comes to shooting. And as for United buying success, think again, Their 99 team had players that they brought up in their own academy. City however sold their only partial homegrown player, Stephen Ireland. They have almost no players, and no1 that is near the first team, that has stepped foot inside the academy of Man City.

Scholes WAS very good, but I will still never like him because of, to quote the Guardian, his 'souvenir' tackles. EDIT: Also regardless of silly arguments about how many 'homegrown' players each club has, anyone who can't see the difference between a club whose success is built on a hundred years of illustrious history and a club whose success is due to being bought by incredibly rich people a few years ago, doesn't understand football...I don't resent City their success but the fact is still there. I look forward to seeing how Uefa's financial fair-play regulations will affect City's success.
